Pay-Pal won't get the message ripoff Internet
My wife and I are starting our own on-line business. We have an ebay store with a pay-pal account. We had the pay-pal account set up where it would pull funds from credit card and deposite sales into our bank.
We made a large purchase of inventory just under $1700.00. Pay-Pay pulled from our bank instead,(keep in mind the funds were not in bank!) We realized this at the same time we hit the pay button.Partly our fault because we should have looked more carefully. We contacted our bank and put a stop payment $32.00 fee, we contacted seller who was very kind and refunded so we can pay from card. The stop payment didn't do anygood, $32.00 NSF fee. Pay-Pal got our refund and held it for 5 days.
We Contacted Pay-PAL and explained the situation. They finally put the money into bank. All good, NO. the very next after we re-did the pay-pal settings right again, day Pay-Pay took the money back again! Another $32.00 NSF charge. We contacted Pay-Pal and they told us it was common procedure for their computer to do that! They also told us (Without us having to ask them)they are not responsible for any overdraft fees! We told them just give us our money back. I called the bank and asked them it the stop payment was any good in the future.
They told me this won't happen again (good for 6 months) 3 days later Pay-Pal sent us an e-mail saying the money we requested to be put in our pay-pay account could not be drawn due to a "failed Wire transfer". DAAA first off we did not ask you, second we blocked you from pulling money out.
We would call back but Pay-Pal has now changed their toll free # to a long distance #. I whis their was another company to deal with, but we all know they are owned by E-Bay. I hope this works after $96.00 in fees.
