i purchased email service through peek online november 4 2010 for a device i had in my possession for $69.95. multiple unsuccessful phone calls, emails and 3 weeks later i still had no service but when i found the owner (amol saarva) email i contacted him and was told my device was obsolete. he offered a new device (if i paid the shipping) and credit the money toward internet service.
on 12/1/10 i received my new device and guess what...it wouldnt connect either. since that time i have called, left messages, emailed support requests (which i found out were closed without any resolution) and as of yet, i'm sitting on a $70 paperweight.
it is a total scam, and at this point whether or not i get satisfaction in immaterial. i'd just hate to see someone else give their hard earned money to these ripoffs.

Sometimes just putting a stick in someones eye is the best thing for them, as that is usually what it takes to help them pull their head out, and not get ripped off again.
Most people get ripped off because they allow it to happen.
This is due to the "dumbing down" of America. Our big business machine hard at work. If you notice, most of the posts here are nothing more than illiterate rambling.
People are mostly stupid nowadays. That's a fact. Our nations kids are graduating and are functionally illiterate, and the numbers are alarming! Common sense has gone out the window too. Doesn't exist anymore.
People no longer accept responsibility for their own actions. We, as a nationall want someone else to blame for everything. Then scream "rip off" when it was our own stupidity that allowed or directly caused the rip off.
People need to wake up! Pay attention! Be vigilant! Don't take it anymore! Understand that there is a rip off around every corner.
Before it's too late.

This site is rife with scores of folks who have been screwed over , scammed, or otherwise made less than whole on WWW and brick -and-mortar store transactions. Lets just brand them all as idiotsand morons, using your idiom as a guide.
Awww........lets not!

Anyone who buys anything without researching it first is an idiot. Any idiot who buys something online from a nobody is a moron. Understand the difference between an idiot and a moron?
This has scam written all over it, and only a moron would participate.

Before you blast the O.P. with the plethora of insults and all of your apparently rhetorical questions, why dont YOU make an effort to see just what Peek is offering. Their web site makes little sense. They allude to their device providing wireless E Mail connections and additional functions. Obviously their device(s) would necessarily have to connect with the WWW, and this could only be accomplished by means of one of the cellular carriers.
As low as $10.00 a month? Would this be in addition to an existing cellular connection? Peek doesnt say. In fact, its difficult to ascertain just what it is theyre offering and just how its accomplished. . It would appear to me that theyre marketing efforts are directed to those who have limited or no knowledge of internet connectivity, and peripheral services. . Go back and read your insulting, acerbic post. A person who falls for their claims isnt necessarily stupid or an idiot. Just someone who innocently stuck their foot in the Peek trap, for lack of contemporary knowledge. Peeks exact goal. .
Your question: Why would you not just go to a MAJOR CARRIER like Sprint, Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, etc??? can be answered by simply visiting the Peek web site. So, GENIUS, why dont you take a little time to research how some of these questionable services are being represented before attacking those unfortunate or unknowledgeable enough to fall for them? Currently, world wide there are 1,966,514,816 internet users. This still represents only 28.7% of the worlds population. Even though North America now has a 77.4% penetration, that STILL leaves a whole lot of potential first time, uneducated users. .
Lighten up.

Your post makes absolutely no sense at all. Are you an idiot? You "purchased an email service"? What? HOW do you purchase an email service? Do you mean internet service? But you said you had the "device in your possession". What device, exactly?
Hey genius, all you need to get email is a computer and an internet connection, and an email account. Did you buy a wireless internet subscription? Did you buy a wireless internet aircard or USB device? Why would you not just go to a MAJOR CARRIER like Sprint, Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, etc???
It appears that your only real problem here is genuine stupidity
