I was required to pay a "one time" $99 set up fee as well as additional one time fees for the other components of the plan such as eye care and dental. They told me over the phone that this plan would replace my major medical plan and reiterated/confirmed as I asked questions. When I received documents, after paying quite a bit of money it says not a major medical plan.
I had an uneasy feeling through the sign in process, kindof a too good to be true thing but they assured me the reason for the lower premiums ($554 for family of four, self employed) is because we were able to get in on a group health rate because our family was healthy. The "one time" set up fees for everything is how this company gets their money because people probably figure it out pretty quick that it isn't real insurance and cancel. Hopefully someone takes time to read this before they get ripped off too
