PODS - PORTABLE ON DEMAND STORAGE - PODS Enterprises, Inc. Corporate office - Clearwater, FL and Franchise office Orlando, FL for a Austin, TX location RIPOFF - Spent $6300 with PODS and they want to charge $1194 to move my PODS 215 miles within Texas. Frisco, Texas
RIPOFF - I spent $6300 with PODS over the last 3 years. When I wanted my things relocated from Austin to Frisco (just N. of Dallas) they want to charge $1194 to move my PODS 215 miles within Texas. Their literature states a safe, affordable way to move. BULL! I have movers that will charge me $1200 for the same trip with 2 movers to unload the PODS repack it (securely) on a truck, drive it to Frisco and unload. WOW! That is worth the money. Real Labor is being used.
PODS has screwed up my billing almost every month trying to claim late charge even when it was drop off in person 10 days prior to due date and they want to charge this outrageous fee to for mileage $135.00 and a man to lift it on a hydraulic truck! It should be free with what I spent with them - at the least no more than $400. The Biggest Scam I have seen in years!
BUYER BEWARE! If it sounds too good to be true, it is. They lure you with a cheap cost for delivery and then storage then WHAM if you try to get anything out they must have 48 hours notice to pull the PODS down at their facility then charge a KING RANSOM to have delivery. It is much better and cheaper to use a local storage unit and movers than PODS!
