This issue reported is not at all as it is reported by the exiting residents. The air conditioner was reported to the office as not cooling, maintenance responded very quickly and found that the compressor was out. Being that the compressor was under warranty, an outside HVAC company was called in for the repairs. In the interum of the HVAC company returning the very next day to install a new compressor the maintenance staff installed a window A/C unit to keep them through the night. The HVAC company made the repairs that next day. One of the two roomates that had been out of town called in and reported that the other roomate had called her to tell her about the A/C being out. However, the roomate that had been gone did not know that it had been fixed as she reported she had not returned home until 5 AM that morning. Maintenance satff went out again and found nothing wrong with the operation of the unit, but left the window unit until the HVAC company that did the repairs could come back to check it.
The very next day the HVAC company checked and reported to the staff that the unit was working properly. When the maintenance staff went back to take out the window unit, they found 2 windows open and the air set at a level that still had the proper temp coming out of the vents correct with the thermostate. Also note this unit is on the 3rd floor, and it is going to be warmer than a unit on the bottom floor. These resident were never neglected and never went without air conditioning. In closing if there had been an issue with the air conditioner that we were not able to fix immediately we would have put them in our guest suite until it was repaired. The property has a 3 bedroom guest suite that we offer to family's of residents and we would have most definately offered the guest suite to them as well. Therefore, this has been incorrectly reported by the exiting residents. Anyone that would like to see the documentation of the HVAC invoice or any other documents in refference to this issue, please contact the office. We stand firm on this issue as being reported incorrectly and it appears to be an attempt to slander the property for whatever reason we do not know.
