My 20 year old daughter purchased a car from this dealer and she has had nothing but problems with the car and Charlie. Charlie pretended to be this upstanding guy who was giving her this great deal. He told us (the parents) that he had a daughter the same age that was off in school and he understood our concern for her to have a reliable vehicle and how everyone else in PSL were scam artists out to rip people off.

Here is our story:

Our daughter fell in love with a 2001 red mustang that she saw on craigslist $4600. She went with her boyfriend to the car lot for a test drive. Charlie quickly got her to sign all the paperwork before her dad and I could even get up there. She already had an approval from a local finance company. She then gave him an $800. deposit and was told that she couldn't take the car until he and the finance company settled things. The car was listed to include 4 new tires and rims. Which Charlie said would be put on the car when she came to pick it up but they never were.

Within 2 weeks, the brakes had to be replaced, she got a flat tire, the spare was flat and there was no jack even though Charlie had told us there was and the car's engine started to knock and running hot. She took the car to a mechanic to be fixed. The repairs totalled almost $800. As for the tires, Charlie had told us that the 4 tires that were included with the car's purchase price were at Walmart. He gave her a check to give them and told her to go there, ask for some guy named ____ , and that they would install the tires.

Well, Walmart wouldn't accept the check Charlie gave her and she ended up having to pay for the tires and installation herself. Charlie then wrote a check to reimburse her for the tires (which bounced).

After paying for the tires and repairs she was unable to make her 1st 2 car payments to the finance company. Charlie from PSL motors then started harassing her, me, and her grandmother by calling non stop 3-4 times a day.

Charlie and Sandy both, on seperate occasions, called and stated that my daughter's car had been reported stolen and that if she was pulled over driving the car that she would be arrested for grand theft. They also said that they were looking out for her and didn't want her to get into trouble.

Upon hearing this we contacted the finance company and were told that he had no business even contacting us in the first place, advised us to call the police if they called again and assured us that the car was not reported stolen. "How can someone be arrested for stealing a car that is registered to themselves?"

I telephoned Charlie at Port st Lucie motors and told him that we had spoken to the finance compay and my daughter had made arrangements with them to get caught up on loan and told him to stop harrassing us or we would call the police which he replied "go ahead" and "you need to make sure your daughter pays her bills".

Less then 2 weeks later my daughter's car was taken from our home. We know that Charlie has the car. He has been seen driving the car and we even have a picture of him driving the car. He also has the car listed for sale on PSL motors website in a "so-called" private sale.

They can have the piece of junk of a car but there were personal items including her cell phone and a digital camera. All of the paperwork from the finance company and from psl motors was also inside the car not to mention the license plate registered to my daughter.

My daughter called him to find out about her personal belongings that were inside the car and he told her that the repo company (himself??) didn't give him any items and didn't know if they had the items or not and hung up.

I then called Charlie myself and asked him what repo company picked up my daughter's car and he told me that since I never helped him with anything that I could go fu_k myself and then he hung up on me and now refuses to answer the phone We have left many messages -none have been returned.

You can find more complaints and info about this guy and his company by doing a search on Treasure Coast's Craigslist. He needs to be stopped before he scams another innocent victim.
