Premier Market Research Or Pmresearchs Secret Shopper, MoneyGram, Market Research, Scam, Money order Montpelier Ontario
I am writing about a company called Premier Market Research. I found this company in my local paper and it was offering research positions. It said to apply online at www.pmresearchs.net. The application was very short, and you only had to enter your name and address. I figured a more rigorous application form would be sent. However, it has been 3 weeks or so and now i have received a letter.
It contained A legit looking cover letter, with addresses, telephone, fax and the website which it states is www.pmresearchs.com, which by the way does not exist. I only found the original site by googling it. I find it odd that a reputable company would not know its own website, which is really www.pmresearchs.net. It is also important to note that there is actually a pm research company that appears reputable called prince market research, but honestly i know nothing about them.
Anyways, the package i was sent told me i would be shopping at a moneygram or rather trying to send money to a fake person named .... a supposed relative. The package also contained a check for 1800 dollars. This is what made it odd. I mean really, they did no background check on me, asked for no references, and they are going to send me 1800 dollars HA. Its complete bull.
Regardless, i was suppose to go to my bank and cash the cheque then wire most of the money to the fake person from the money gram to see how great Money Grams service was. Then fill out a questionnaire and be done with it and thus make like a 140 dollars. Its too good to be true. I looked around on the internet, and tried to call the Better Business Bureau and such. Didnt get many answers until i found a site that described my situation.
These cheques are not real according to the site, and they will bounce in time. Sticking said depoisiter with the debt of a cashed bounced cheque. Its really quite an elaborate scam. However, anybody who thinks a company or another person will just trust them with thousands of dollars.. should really rethink the situation. I havent done anything with this company, I have not cashed the cheque or filled out the questionnaire. I have no intention of doing so. PMRESEARCHS (Premier Market Research) could be very reputable but I would not bank on it. So becareful
Furthermore I am also not entirely sure exactly where they are based either, they appear to have more than one address on the cover. I also tried to call and I got a shady voice mail answer. However, really the point is not where the company is, but the situation such that anybody sending mass amounts of money to a stranger is probably trying to rip that person off. Again I will restate.. I am not entirely sure about this company.
