I won't sit here and tell you not to drive for prime inc or that the dispatchers their are all trained from the same handbook or that that handbook is designed 100% for prime inc and not at all for prime inc drivers.i won't tell you that everything you are told is carefully worded can mean a number of different things other than what you assume it means. i won't tell you that as a lease driver that you won't make a great pay check the first 1-2 months, you will.i won't tell you that when you tk home time if its with less than a month out when you do that you will definetly go in the hole and negitive for several wks before you see another decent check.
i won't tell you that dispatchers put u on a home counter when you take home time and if you request example) the 3rd-5th off they can and will start your home counter on the 2nd and have you scheduled to go back out on the 6th or 7th and you will never know this unless a night or weekend dispatcher accidentally lets it slip to you.i won't tell you that this will end up looking like you are requesting too much home time and in the long run make you look bad.i won't tell you that its designed to do just that.then thats the big reason why you aren't making money anymore.if you turn down a load no matter the reason, you will regret it,but i won't tell you that.
as a lease driver who is paying upwards of $1,200 a wk in trk payments and other fixed fees you have no control over your business with the only exception being request for home time. dispatch will not deny you home time but if he doesn't think you need it or doesn't want you to take it then prepare for an extra cpl days off than you requested.this is for the purpose of putting you in the hole and going negitive your dispatcher will tell you that you are running your business and he isn't but that is 100% a lie.but i won't tell you that. prime will take money from you and you will never know it or they will have some reason for it but its bogus.i didn't tell you that though.
if u ever get on the bad side of your dispatcher then you can expect to get the worst loads he can find you.you are led to believe that you can request and get another dispatcher if you feel yours isn't working as they should for you,but you go ahead and try.wouldn't matter if you did because they are a team and work you under together. don't have any type of medical emergency or death at home and request a load home not even in a life n death situation because they care less. i even told jeff murphy dispatcher that i would even dead head or bobtail home and he said if you do that i will cut off your fuel card.so what, i didn't or wasn't planning to use fuel card to go.i used money from my pocket even though if i had used fuel card ,i pay for my own fuel anyway as a lease driver.
he was only showing me that if he didn't want me to go that i couldn't go.how wrong he was. told me i couldn't get a load outta Pa to Ga on a sunday when i already knew there were several and always are. i won't say look thats how much they care about the drivers. they charged me many times for things they had no right too. even tking home time and knowing you already have a good pay check made for the next week they will flip and flop loads and pull misc fees outta nowhere to make you even go in the hole when you know you shouldn't have.bottom line is the control every penny and you will not make a decent living if they don't want you too.
usually about 6 months into a lease if they can get you negative then they try to force you under so you quit and another new sucker can make $20-$30,000 in trk payments. i didn't tell you that either. i will tell you that i have documents ,recordings,qc pics and everything i said about the money ,loads ect i can prove. but you shouldn't take my word or my proof for it ,you should go lease a truck from PRIME INC. and find out for yourself. only way u can stay above on top and make any money at all on a consecutive level is if you are willing to stay out for a month and a half -two months or longer with only a cpl days off when you do tk home time.but you give PRIME a shot so you will know first hand.
