Public Storage locked out without reason Hallandale Florida
Public Storage, Hallandale, FL has repeatedly locked customers out of their units with no reason or explanation. Contact with the front office personnel reveals there is no basis to lock units, & are unable to explain why the unit is locked. I witnessed this occur to one person when I rented the unit, now, not 3 weeks later, they have done the same thing to me. I have the 1st month as free rent, after paying $75 to move in where the advertised price is $22 to move in. I have paid 2 $60 payments in order to pay the rent of $240 in advance of the due date. I was contacted after closing to advise there was a problem with the unit. When I went to the unit with a car load of items to store, I found the unit had been locked.
I will request that the responsible person be relocated to another property, demand a refund of the $195 I have paid to date, and have filed a complaint with the main office through publicstorage.com for the breach of contract.
I fully anticipate that I will receive a response to the question of "Why?" as " I don't know, I can't tell, there is no reason for it" just as I witnessed when I went in on 9/28/14 to rent the unit.

The Regional Manager is named Stephen. He is also over West Palm Beach and Miami. I encourage you to contact Police and take these ruthless people to court Stephen seems to enter Storage Units and things come up missing. Calling the District Manager, Vance Carlton only gets you put off. Try to get resolution to your problem only gets you that THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE is the only ones that Stephen and Vance can answer to but you cant reach them. Since this racket leaves you with no help, call the Police. File theft charges and take them to court
Also check your invoices. There are fees attached that have no merit and when you ask you get the run around. This is the WORST STORAGE FACILITY AROUND. Go to a reputable one if you don't want to be victimized.no
