Well,

I recently needed a storage unit for my vehicle for a month. I contacted Public Storage in Tacoma off of Sprague Ave and at first, they seemed very nice and helpful. So, after having my small care stored there just a couple days under the full month, 7 days later I get a call saying I way 7 days late returning the key. I went down to hand over the key and pay my late charge. But, low and behold, not only did these scam artists charge a $40 late fee, but the also charged another $240 for a whole nother moth. Keep in mind, I was just late returning the key and nothing more. So, by being late, even a day, not only will you be charged a $40 late fee, but you will also be charged an additional month charge for the space youu rented. And yo would think that a simple phone call to get the $240 waived would be an option. But instead, the will give you "customer services'" number, where you'll be prompted to go through a long automated process to only get through and have someone tell you that they don't have the power to waive it. But, they will "give you their District Manager's number. After calling him, you will come to a voice mail that says he 'convieniently' is out that day and won't be back at his office until the following Wednesday! I recommend this place to no one and after being ripped off and put on hold for my own money, I will NEVER be returning to do business with them. I will be taking further action!

Seriously, you fail to return the key to them and you are calling them a RipOff?

Until you turn in the key they can not rent the unit out to someone else.  They also have no idea if you are still using it or not.  Sure you "say" you removed all of your stuff but how do they know for sure?

And yo would think that a simple phone call to get the $240 waived would be an option.

- Perhaps in Fantasyland.

As for you taking it further.  All you need to do is read the lease agreement you signed on the unit in the beginning.  I will bet that there are provisions in there that if you fail to return the key and a new month starts you are responsible for the entire month. Or are you going to come here and say you didn't sign anything?
