PVM Games has a great-looking website and seems very legit and American. Brags about their inventory and popularity. "High Quality Products." Offers deals at a few dollars less than most others. Still, I was a bit suspicious. However, after a Googled them I could find no complaints or warnings.

So, I went ahead and bought a DSi for my daughter for her birthday. Turns out, all financial transactions are processed through a intermediary - 2Checkout.com alias 2CO.com. Only AFTER the checkout process was it revealed that PVM Games is located solely in China. The product is manufactured and shipped from China via Chinese National mail service.

Seeing this, I attempted to have the order cancelled the next day. I contacted both PVM Games (and the customer service they brag about) AND 2Checkout.com. It took at least 3 days for 2Checkout.com to respond. Then, they said I'd have to contact PVM Games. I didn't get any contact from PVM Games until I got notification (over a week later) that the item had shipped. Despite repeated attempts, I was unable to cancel the order or obtain a refund through either entity.

When the DSi finally did arrive (somewhat to my surprise) it came with everything it should and looking normal except there was no user guide. It mostly worked fine, though it seemed to have a small glitch that was a minor nuisance at first. Eventually, it became a major nuisance and the unit would not turn on at all - only an error message on the screen.

I again sought to contact PVM Game's 'excellent customer service' that is 'eager' to help no matter what the problem and make the customer happy. That was a few weeks ago and I'm still waiting for a response. At the same time (I'm learning) I went direct to Nintendo and arranged to have it shipped to them for repairs under warranty.

About a week and a half later I received an email from Nintendo stating that the unit is a Counterfeit and therefore not covered by the warranty and they are sending it back.

2checkout responds, not PVM

2checkout, alias 2co.com, has issued a mostly positive response and opp to return to them (at my own expense) for a refund. They also forwarded their own notes and requests to PVM. PVM has still offered nothing but complete silence.
