Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I've never felt so abused by a company and so ripped off and lied to. My wife and I hired Quick Trip Movers to move us on Sept. 19 (2006) from Gainesville, Ga. to Atlanta. A week before the move, Jeremy Tal, who does the assessment charge for Quick Trip came to our house in Gainesville and to give us an estimate on the moving charge.

At this time we asked him if they would move the plants and he said no problem and told us that the move would require six men and two trucks and we would be billed for 13 hrs. with an hour cushion and the total charge would not be above $2,140 so we agreed. One hundred dollars was charged on my credit card to guarantee that they would be moving us with the balanced to be paid the day of the move.

Then the nightmare began. Six movers showed up the morning of Sept.19 led by the foreman, Fernando, who commented that we did a good job packing everything. Most boxes were marked for which room they should go in and several boxes were marked fragile when they contained china etc.

The workers began piling boxes on the truck with little regard to it's contents. Fernando began complaining that Jeremy did not charge enough and intimated several times that we must have not shown him everything. We couldn't have hid rooms from the assessor so I grew impatient with his inferences.

After two trucks were loaded he mentioned that they would deliver the two trucks and send one back to get everything else. He demanded full payment before they would unload the truck so I paid them in cash and actually tipped each worker and gave Fernando twice the amount of the other workers as I assumed there would be no problems.

The truck showed up about 4 hours later with three workers who had trouble communicating in English. Fernando did not make the trip. The workers tried to stop several times before the move was complete and I had to keep walking them around and showing them items and at several times had to actually move things myself to the truck so they wouldn't ignore it. Different excuses were made such as "we don't move glass", "these items are loose and should be in a box" (several of the items called lose were in boxes or pouches such as karate gear in it's bag) and the biggest problem was "we don't load plants".

The last excuse resulted in several calls to Fernando who was still at the new residence unloading the other truck. Fernando said I would need to talk to the owner of the company so I called him and he agreed to talk with Fernando and to send another truck to pick up everything else after the truck was poorly loaded where they couldn't accommodate any more stuff.

So, we head to the new destination and while unloading this truck I asked Fernando if he'd been contacted by the owner and he replied no and said I should call the owner again. So, I called the owner who quickly told me that he would not send another truck and didn't have to. I reminded him that Jeremy had promised that everything would be moved and he said I should talk with Jeremy.

At this time I reminded him that I didn't need to talk with Jeremy as Jeremy was his employee so I was talking to him since he owned the company. The head of the company was trying to pass the buck. He point blank told me he wouldn't send another truck and I was out of luck. I then asked him, "so you're screwing me" and his basic reply was in effect "yeah".

The end result was that my wife and I drove to our old house at 4:30 am and packed everything left behind which included rolled carpet and boxed items and had to leave the plants behind. When we returned home around 6:30 am I had to unload the van and immediately left for work in Tampa, Fla.

The next day (20th) my wife was forced to rent a van and hire a gentleman to help her pick up the plants that I was originally told would be taken care of Quick Trip Movers. We were on a time table since the buyers were taking possession the following day (21st).

On top of this abuse is the fact that almost all of our antique furniture was severly scratched and damaged. Some of the damage was unbelievable such as an antique tobacco cabinet which was in pieces and when my wife showed Fernando his comment was "it's not so bad". Everytime my wife showed Fernando the damage he had a different excuse and one time remarked on a table that was destroyed, "it didn't look that good anyway".

Much of the china wear was destroyed and in pieces.

All the instructions such as where the boxes were to be placed or the fact that contents were fragile was disregarded. It will take days, if not weeks, for me to put the piles of boxes in any kind of order.

Anyone using this company is asking for problems. They outright lied and misrepresented themselves. I would welcome a class action litigation on this company. Moving can be somewhat stressful but with Quick Trip Movers, based out of Norcross, Ga., it's almost a certainty.

I'm not sure how I should respond to this, I can barely understand it. Not only are you saying wrong things, but you say them wrongly. I assure you that my employment isn't an issue, I work every week which earns me the money to hire incompetent people and businesses such as Quick Trip Movers. Let's focus on what's real here. I have pictures, affidavits, physical proof, receipts, appraisals and an attorney. The suit has been filed and while the wheels of justice turn slowly, they do turn. Please be in court and bring your green card. I'm not playing and I'm not afraid. I don't back down because I'm right and have had many email me telling me that Quick Trip Movers did the same to them. I submitted the form for the $300 because my attorney asked me to, and Quick didn't even respond to that which was what I expected. This thing isn't about the money, it's about how little regard and respect you have for the people who pay your salaries. All you've done is prove my point even more. Keep posting, you give me more information and more emails from others when they read how disrespectful you are.

Jeremy (Yirmihu) I am immune to your threats and I am not being idle about this. I will not keep coming back here to read your denials, this will be dealt with on the level it needs to be dealt with. You are not man enough to admit your error and you are making more mistakes in the manner you choose to deal with this. I've simply told my story on many forums and you'd be surprised what I've found out about you but then again, you'll know soon. No matter if your business is American Nation Express Movers or Quick Trip Mover, you are a bad business man and a worse person. To tell everyone the truth and have them ask you about it is not spam. The reason I know this is that no less that five attorneys have contacted me. You could have at least shown some concern when I contacted you but in stead you threaten court action for harassment etc. You made up lies about me blackmailing you, did you think that lying would help you? I'm done with coming on here and you can post whatever lies you can manufacture but the purpose of coming on here is to alert others and I've certainly done that.

You think by spamming my Email box and the fax machine you can resolve the issue you are dead wrong. I told what you need to do to file a claim but you chose the wrong way to do it. There is a process for handling claims so just follow it. You know what you said do not back up from it be a man. I know what i said and I will not back up from it. I may be a small man, you do not have to be big to be right or to win do you know the story of David and Goliath if not go read it it will teach you some thing. Like I said follow the process for claims If we did you wrong it will be corrected. Thanks Jeremy

In response to your rebuttal I will say that you have outright lied. I never threatened you with any actions unless I received something from you. Be careful how you word your interactions with me, "blackmail" is not a word I would be throwing around, especially with the way you do business. I signed the bill of laden because you would not unload any of our stuff till all paperwork was signed. Look....anyone who reads all the different reports on you has to realize that complete strangers aren't getting together and making up stories about you. We received horrible service, you damaged most of our furniture and yes, I will file a claim and even if I collect the small sum of $300, which you offer, things will be far from right and you are a very small man who has little honor. I have reported you to this site, Craigslist, Clark Howard, Tom Martino, BBB and others. I will not let up because I am right and you refuse to accept responsibility for your poor service. As far a legal action, be careful what you ask for. It's a tough case but no unprovable, especially with so many victims of your negligence. Just for the record, I don't expect anything from you and your disregard with the truth and facts pretty much bares our my suspicions that you run a bad business and have no plans to change. I don't expect you to move me or anyone else for free. I also didn't expect you to ruin most of my possessions. This site serves as an aid in the little recourse that consumers have against people and businesses like you. I only hope to alert others so they won't make the same mistake. You don't have any emails from me trying to blackmail you so please, lying will not make you look better, it only refeels your size.
