I dropped my boombox of January 9th 2005 for repair it was no where to be found for almost 2 months. I called the Headquarters and it was listed in there system and couldnt find it then i called the Radio Shack in Capitola ca where i dropped it off and they didn't know where it was so i called again to the Headquarters Office and they said to have the store where i dropped it off at put a trace on it.

it was located apparently it had been in a location in San Leandro CA and it had been at that location for amost 2months and no contact was made during that time from Radio Shack or the repair center they were supposed to notify me so id be able to approve of the repair or not and they didn't. although on the reciept it says about how much it would cost and it could be up to $70.00 dollars but never heard from them so i talked to the guy at the service center in San Leandro CA called the Tandy Service Center his name was Ray Vassallo he is the Director and I explained about my problem to him after a while he decided to wave the fee and that the radio was already fixed so i called the Radio Shack at the Capitola Mall in Capitola CA and talked to the Manager explaining that the service center director would wave the fee now the manager which is named lynn riddick says from Radio shack that they will be looking at my radio and letting me know how much it cost in a phone message to me what a runaround

after i explained to him the situation he agreed that it was also there fault in this matter i feel i should be compensated for the time i had no radio and waving the fee would be a good business thing to do but from what the Manager says to me this happens alot that the service center will repair the item and without any contact with the person.

THE MANAGER OF RADIO SHACK IN CAPITOLA MALL CAPITOLA CA. TOOK CARE OF MY ISSUES GOT THE RADIO BACK WAVED THE FEES WERE WAVED FROM TANDY SERVICE CENTER AND HE GAVE MY $10.00 DOLLAR DEPOSIT BACK AS WELL PLUS REPLACED A CORD THAT WAS LOST SO I RESOLVED THE ISSUE AND I STILL LIKE THERE PRODUCTS BUT THEY NEED TO GET A BETTER SYSTEM THAT WILL CAUSE LESS PROBLEMS IN SHIPPING REPAIRS AND KEEPING THE OWNERS INFORMED BETTER.

The Mananger said there were similar problems to mine that he had to call about to the tandy service center in San Leandro CA so im assuming the issue will be taken care of.
