Raredvds is nothing more than a rip-off and a scam Montreal, Quebec
On February. 16, 2007 I placed an order with Raredvds.tv for the Martin and A Different World Collection Series. I later received a email stating that my credit card will be charged, $248.98 under the name SCAN-EX. I thought something was fishy off the gate because usually companies do not charge your credit card until you have received the merchandise or at least when they ship the merchandise.
After 3 weeks I sent a email asking when to expect my order, and they sent me an email stating that my order is on backorder and it will be shipped the following Monday. Five days later they sent me another email stating that my order had been shipped and I could to Canadapost.com or USPS.com to track my order. Of course I went to both those websites and could not track my order.
Another three weeks later on March 16, 2007 I received a small package in the mail which I opened to find the Superman series instead of the Martin and A Different World Series that I ordered. I immediately emailed them back and relayed what I had gotten in the mail and asked for a full refund. I received an email back saying that they were sorry for the mix-up and they will refund me my money immediately. They also asked me to send back in the DVDs to a Canada address. I sent in the collection series and I have yet to receive my refund.
I thought for a minute that I just had the worst of luck until I discovered this website Rip Off Report.com and realized that I was not the only one. Something really has to be done about this because it is ridiculous. There are alot of scams going on in the Canada area, and if I knew this website was based out of Canada, I never would have ordered from them.
