Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I had a HORRIBLE experience with this company!!! DON?T USE THEM!!!

I was walking into the gym when I was approached by a young man in front of the building. I asked him straight out if he was selling magazine subscriptions, and he said no, but asked if he could have 30 seconds of my time. He told me about how he was trying to work on his eye contact and people skills, etc. So I agreed to listen to his pitch. He then went on asking me a hundred random questions, and then explained that he was trying to win a trip to Italy and $2,000.00, and that he only needed 1,000 more points to do so.

Not only did he speak so fast that I had a hard time understanding him, he also spoke about another young man in the parking lot out doing the same thing, with very vulgar terms and profanity. I felt that he was very unprofessional and rude. That's when he whipped out the magazine subscription cards. I explained SEVERAL times that I had no money at this time to help him, and did not need another magazine subscription. He asked me, Well, what if I were to tell you that you could help me out, not pay a cent, and not receive any magazines? So I humored him.

He explained that if I subscribed to a magazine today, I could pick a magazine that was worth 1,000 points to get him to his goal. The subscription would be $48.00, but that I would be getting a call in 7-10 business days to verify that the funds were in my account and I could cancel the subscription at that time, that I would be charge NO money and he would still get the points to win his trip to Italy and the $2,000.00.

Because he was so passionate about the trip and the money, I decided I would help him out, so I said I would get a subscription that I would then cancel when their company called to verify the funds. He had me sign a slip that he told me just verified he talked to me that day proving that he wasn't just out messing around, and that it would have the subscription information on it for when I canceled it.

When I went to write the check for $48.00, he told me then that the total was $59.00. I questioned him as to why he told me it was only $48.00, and now it was $59.00. He explained that there was a processing and handling fee of $11.00, (that he did NOT mention before) but that I wouldn't be charged for that either. So I gave him the check, and no sooner then I did, he shoved a copy of the slip of paper I signed at me and literally took off running through the parking lot.

I then looked at the slip of paper and noticed thier cancellation policy on the reverse side and about how you must cancel the order in writing within 3 days, and that there would be no refund for the $11.00 handling fee. I then felt very taken, and I tried to find the young man to get my check back and cancel my order, but he was no where to be found.

I then had to spend my evening on the phone with my bank to see what to do about the check I gave the young man. After a long conversation, my bank suggested that I file a complaint against their company and with the Better Business Bureau.

Not only did the young man who tried to sell me a subscription flat out lie to my face, he also caused me to accrue $170 in insufficient funds and other charges from my bank. The guy told me that the company would hold my check for 7-10 business days, and that they would call to verify the funds were in my account before they deposited my check, but the check was deposited the next day, which caused my account to become overdrawn! AND, you can only cancel your subscription in writing, but when you try to do that, your letters get returned, and if you try to call them, their mailbox is full. And if by some off chance you actually get through to leave a message, they don't call you back EVER! I'm STILL trying to get my money back from this company!

DON'T GIVE THIS COMPANY ANY OF YOUR BUSINESS OR MONEY!!!
