Recently, I obtained a copy of my credit report and was shocked to find an outstanding collection report from "REC MGT GRP". I have never heard of this company and do not recognize any debt related to them. So, I filed a formal dispute with TransUnion and have not heard back in two months. Upon searching the internet, I found that the "REC MGT GRP" is known as the "Receivables Management Group".
The only report I can contain from TransUnion contains the below information:
Reference Number | Institution | Date Filed or First Reported | Comment | Date Last Reported |
---|---|---|---|---|
**(removed for security) | REC MGT GRP | 05/2015 | 09/2015 |
I have never had any outstanding debt nor have I ever been late on paying any bills. In addition, I have never been contacted by "REC MGT GRP" or received any correspondence from them. However, my credit score has been severely affected by their false report.
Unfortunately, there is no means to determine what account supposedly is in collection with "REC MGT GRP", as well as no means to find out how much is supposedly owed and no means to dispute this false report with the company. In the meanwhile, my excellent credit has fallen by over 100 points, simply through the false reporting of this group.
At this time, I am forced to pursue legal means to rectify my credit and ensure that "REC MGT GRP" or "Receivables Management Group" is held accountable and corrects this matter.
