Resurgent Capitol Services Lp - LVNV Funding THEY CREATED 2 ACCOUNTS WHEN I ONLY HAD ONE ACCOUNT AND NOW TRYING TO COLLECT TWICE ON A DEBT THAT'S PAID Houston Texas
I had a SEARS charge card that I fell behind on. Finally I took a settlement and paid the debt to a collection agency in full and I thought I could put this debt behind me.
Then 2 months later I recieved another collection notice in the mail for my SEARS account. I thought this was strange, so I called the collection agency GLOBAL CREDIT & COLLECTIONS to let them know this debt was already paid-
settled with another collections recovery agency. The man told me to send proof that the debt had been paid and I gladly faxed the information that he requested.
A few minutes later the man called back and told me this was not the same debt because it had a different account number on it. I told the man it must be some mistake. I had a SEARS charge card, it was one account, its not like
a checking or a savings account-there was only one account. He told me he just couldn't understand why there would be a different account number, that I must have had a different account. I told the man to hang on while I
grabbed a copy of my EXPERIAN credit report where the same debt was listed 4 times. He asked me what the account numbers were on the credit report-so I went through and noticed there were 4 listings for the same creditor but
with 2 different account numbers, with almost identical past due balances. The man told me I must have had 2 accounts with SEARS and again I assured him that I only had one. He then told me to call RESURGENT CAPITOL directly,
So I did. I explained to the woman at RESURGENT CAPITOL that I only had one account and she said that she saw 2 accounts as well. I got very frustrated and asked her if she had a SEARS CHARGE ACCOUNT before.
She said no. I explained once again, there was never 2 accounts on my SEARS CHARGE CARD. I explained again that I had paid a settlement on my account THE ONLY ACCOUNT THAT I HAD. She told me that I would have to
dispute the deliquent account, or face judgment. I told her that I would be more than happy to dispute the account that they seem to have MADE UP literally overnight. After I got off of the phone, I looked at my credit report
again and further down towards the end there was another SEARS collection that had said PAID and once again with another account number. I find it VERY HARD to believe that I had 3 charge accounts with SEARS on ONE
SEARS CHARGE CARD. I will continue to dispute this, but I believe this company to have made up an account number to offer two different settlements on the same account to add up to the original balance. And they
continue to report negative on my credit.

They know you are an easy mark for ripoff. GO TO www.budhibbs.com ASAP A consumer advocate website specializing in JUNK debt collectors and this group is listed as one of the top WORST FDPCA violators. Debt collectors cannot be trusted. Send them the debt validation request - they will not be able to provide. Send them the Cease Communications letter as well. All correspondence must be sent via certified mail return receipt.
