Rockaway Bedding Virginia GREAT SALES RUDE UNPROFFESIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE RIPOFF Alexandria Virginia
I bought a bed from Rockaway because the price was right and the salesman was so much nicer than anyone else I had dealt with that morning. I'm new in town so the initial treatment from the sales person meant a lot to me but the problems began when another sales person called me to schedule the actual delivery. The phone call came at 8pm. I explained I lived in a bldg that required the booking of the cargo elevator and because the call from them came after hours I couldn't reach anyone to make arrangements.
The sales person (Yandama) was extremely rude and explained all she could do was move my delivery to another day as she couldn't really contact anyone or request specific times. I was dissapointed and told her to at least call me the next time before the end of the business day so that I could reach someone in the sales office, she ignored my request and said "I will call you after 4, that's all I can do". So I took the initiative and called the store after finding out the times our elevator was open and she was ruder, this time raising her voice and acting completly unproffesional repeating the same story of her inability to request specific windows. I told her the least she could do was apologize and make one phone call to see what if anything they could do to help me. She then put me on hold for about ten minutes before I hung up.
I did get the area manager's number and will follow up to see that she at least gets a little course on customer service. As to my mattress I called customer service for a refund, which was not a hassle, the hassle is now to continue sleeping in the floor for a few more days until I get a mattress. Bottom line, if you are taking people's money, show some respect and courtesy!
