I am a sole proprietor installation/repair shop. Am having similar issues as others on this site with warrantee and quality issues. First engine I got from them had knock and low oil pressure. Had to pull it out to find out why. Tore it apart and did a forensic on it. Basically, it did not fit the qualification of Remanufactured. Numerous used surfaces, a number of them specifically not covered in their warrantee should they fail. They sent me a second one, as there was a cylinder/piston failure going on also, along with the undertorqued main bearings. Got second engine, had fitment issues, decided to try to build one out of both. Took second one apart for inspection, and it had similar issues. Neither of these engines were built to last. I have contacted the attorney general, their respnse is that I now have two of their engines and only paid for one. They want both of them back, refunding me my initial cost plus freight to ship them. Too late for that. I am breaking in an engine I built out of both and it seems to be doing well. If I sent them back, I would be left without a core to work with. These folks have tried everything to blow off my concerns. I am in the middle of this, lost my summer dealing with substandard workmanship, and not sure where it will go next. The attention to detail is not present here, which is most important when building a complicated assembly of this nature. Poor cleanliness, used surfaces, poor torqueing management, poor customer relations. I have many hours working with what I have on hand, and building one right. I know how to do that. My concern now is that I will end up in legal trouble with them for something theyt caused in the first place. I also have concern for others that have experienced the same grief, as I see they are out there. I really don't knwo what I am dealing with, but it isn't right. I run a business also, and I have to make things right, so try to do it right the first time, not depend on a warrantee so full of loopholes it would take a lawyer to decipher. This is a mess just trying to put a new engine in my van. Some consolation is that it was not one of my customer's vehicles!
