I asked them from the beginning will I be selling anything? They replied NO. They told me this was an office job. Not a problem. Just what I was looking for. I worked for them for about 3 weeks. One thing they don't tell you from the beginning is that you have to be driving your own car, and carting others around all day long. My car's trans was on the way out, and they expected me to cart around 3 other people for 7 hours a day. There was a lady there that had been there for 8 months, still with the promise of promotion. They told us within 3 months we would have our own office. Another person had sold over 600 bottles within a week and they promised that person everything and she received nothing. But none to say the least, she spent another two more months but received nothing before she quit. Their ad was false representation. The ad never mentioned selling, and being commissioned base which was what they were. Plus they also had mentioned that the "owners lived in Los Angels, CA.

The Illinois office of the attorney general recently filed a law suit against two World Perfume distributors (World Perfume is a break off of Scentura, and the distributors have the same unethical business model): Contact the attorney general today by clicking these two links: http://www.ag.state.il.us/pressroom/2004_04/20040414b.html http://www.ag.state.il.us/pressroom/2003_07/073003.html Contact the attorney general in Illinois to complain about this distributor. Illinois hard ball tactics against MLM pyramid schemes is a model for the rest of the country. Johnny Whitworth, the president of World Perfume used to be one of the largest distributors of Scentura, a MLM scam that the Illinois Appellate court ruled was an illegal "pyramid sales scheme". http://www.state.il.us/court/Opinions/AppellateCourt/2001/2ndDistrict/September/Html/2000964.htm (The defendant in this case, Dan Long, also a former distributor of Scentura, now works for World Perfume.) Like Scentura, World Perfume uses an "independent contractor" license to shield itself from civil and criminal prosecution. Like Scentura, all of the distributors use a script and are trained to lie to potential employees. The script in fact, is almost exactly the same as Scentura's script. ------File your Rip-off Report now----- FYI, Attorneys General nationwide, FTC, FBI, US Postal Inspectors, and most other Authorities Including Local & National News Media all view Rip-off Reports,.. we'll put YOU in contact with them if you want them to help further your cause, YOU make that choice, when you file your Rip-off Report.. Lawyers read Rip-off Reports too, those attorneys interested in helping your situation or if a Class Action Lawsuit is being filed, we will contact YOU with their contact information.

I did not write the above info. "LETS GET THESE PEOPLE!" This is simply a distributor trying to discredit me. For a lot of information on the World Perfume and Scentura scams: http://ripoffreport.com/view.asp?id=36647 or go to groups.google.com and type in Scentura

I have emailed DATELINE, PRIMETIME and our local news stations here in Ceveland Ohio, I am trying to get a hold of the Parma police since this is where the office is where my daughter interviewed. I am hopeing one of these people will take a look at all these stories. Please why dont EVERYONE do this too?? If we all and our family and friends do it. Maybe just maybe SOMBOCY will take a look at it. We need to flood the media and local athorities with letters!! Not personally attack them ourselves!

Just to let the public know this company is now trying to operate in the Cleveland Ohio areabut under the name N E (or) Northeast Management. Thank the good Lord for caller ID as it gave the Midwest Management Name as the name N E is not in the phone book or able to locate on the internet. All the horrifying stories I read are exactly what my daughter was told on her two interviews! Thank You all for this site!! She would have spent alot of money on day care, gas, etc... without recieving a dime. I hope they get out of Cleveland soon because of all of your help. Maybe someone who interviewd with her will see this now that yet ANOTHER name they made up for their company is now on the internet!

this is the problem with everyone whos crying about being scamed and whatever else:when you are hired if your postion is to become a manager and a office owner yes during training you sell fragrnce these people dont stick around long enough to know really what goes on,you will get a office even if you dont produce 10 bottles a day,a part of training is to learn how to market the product yes selling it on the streets is a crapy way but thats the way we do it and you need to know how to if you are going to be a manager of people who do the same thing ,people get mad in the begining because they see bonus opprotunity so they go and spend there own money like 2 or 3hundreds of dollors on perfume but there group not make there goal so they loose there money, they get pissed quit and then call it a scam, well whos really the dumb a*s here!this is it and this is final, you train to be a manager, you learn how to market the product, you learn cash flow, accounting, and managment skills then when you complete, you get a office,it taked a little longer than a week or 2 days, come on people,i got a idea, dont by 100 bottles youself,be motvated and for once try to complete something,if you people would try that you all would be in a office right now.im getting sick of people slandering my career because they dont have one and they tried to get up the ladder the wrong way by crying and buying there own bottles.
