I bought a tahoe in January from this company. First I will say we were told we had a warranty inside/out, top to bottom, bumper to bumper. First lie. We are just paying for it but most is not actually covered. There were multiple things wrong with the car when we bought it (cosmetic) things which were promised to be fixed. 8 months into owning the car we were still dealing with them. Supposedly the car goes through a check before its sold. Summer starts and my A/C is actually hot air. One of the a/c pipes was cracked. Hitch guard was held on by zip ties. One of the pins in roof rack was broken. Crack in the dash. Service manager kept telling me it needed to be scheduled when vinyl guy was around. Called again since I have never had a phone call returned to me and the guy under the manager was able to schedule it for the same day. Last two times I have got an oil change they did not top the fluids off. Handle on inside driver side door had tape all over it. I was told by service manager it was so rings didnt ding it. I ended up removing tape and found it was chipped. That part was supposedly back ordered for a month yet when I called a dealership in a different town they told me it was in stock. How could that be?! Lastly one of the compartments on my center piece would not close. Part was supposedly replaced in May. Now in December we have the same exact issue again. The manager in service said the latch was broker which it is not and also said something must be stuck which there is not. It is not aligned correctly. Service is saying I need a new $400 part and $100 for labor. Even though it was their crappy install they want me to eat the cost. When we ckntacted Art Schaller he said he was surprised they did as much as they did because most was not under warranty. What does that have to do with anything when all this was broken when we got the car?! Never will purchase a car through here again. Worst customer service ever and clearly trickles down from the top. This is a 40,000 transaction also not some 10,000 pos.

Thanks Jim. After thinking more about it I think this may be an unfair review of the dealership. They did eventually fix everything that they promised whether it took a while or not. As far as the center piece not being under warranty I think it is easier to have someone else fix it for the second time and move on from this mess. Its not worth having negativity in my life. So thank you Jim for your view. We had a horrible experience with a much older car we did not warranty so when we bought this one we made sure every possible warranty was on it (to lessen the amount of out a pocket expenses later on) without really discussing what was not covered. I guess make your own judgement about Schaller. Mine was not that great, but it does not mean all will be like this.

It is also the dealerships job to explain the warranty and anything I add on in full detail. The dealership promised to fix these things and took forever to make good. I did not write a review to explain myself to anyone. I wrote it to warn people of the integrity of this dealership as well as the fact that they dont stand behind their work. A used tahoe is going to have issues cosmetically and I was under the impression they would be fixed and done correctly. It had very low miles and right on kbb value. The actual sale was not the issue. The service after the sale is my issue.

You stated there were a lot of things wrong with this car when you bought it. You also said you paid $40k for this thing! So the obvious question which arises is why did you buy a car with pre-existing problems? You also stated you were told how much the warranty covers. Did you even bother to read the warranty paperwork for yourself to be sure??? Ripoff? If there was you could have easily avoided it by being a smart consumer!
