Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
on 7/10/10 i went to scooters with my wife and some close friends for a birthday, the server was poor, the bar tenders and the manager were VERY rude, after having been asked to leave for reasons they would not explain (we were not loud or rowdy) i went to close my tab with a very grumpy manager all but chasing us out the door the bar tender gave me incorrect change for my tab and the bar kept my ID, now they will not give it back, i have filed a report with the BBB and with the bar to no event, i fully intend to present them with a bill for lost wages and the cost of the replacement ID if they do not return it by the close of business 7/12/10. To boot along with rude employees the place nearly dead and dirty as well, i think the health department and TABC should look into these clowns as well. I retrospect i highly doubt i will be doing business with them again anytime soon. I hope the owner (scott) has enough sense to get out from under that dive as soon as he can.

Please tell us the rest of the story.  People do not get thrown out of bars for absolutely no reason and I'm sure you know what it is.

You may not agree with their reason but you know why you told to leave.

Stolen might be a strong word but gross incompetence i don't think is, there was no cause for a police call as there was no altercations and i didn't notice the bar still had my ID until a few hours later. I called and the girl working at the time said she had it right there at the register, in many cases it is not uncommon for them to keep an ID for an open tab. Now when i sent my wife to go pick up my ID because i should not be driving without my license they have mysteriously lost my ID. This has been going on for a couple of days now and starting to get old.

Let's see the server was poor, the bar tenders an manager were very rude, the place was dirty, and TABC should look into them.  Your right I bet you were perfect customers and didn't do a single thing wrong and they had absolutly no reason to kick you out.

I don't know about that bar, but I have never heard of a bar needing to take an ID other than to verify age and giving it right back.  I also find it interesting how you seem to know the owner by name and hope that he gets our from under that "dive" as soon as he can.  I really wonder what the rest of this story is.

I would have called 911 immediately.  There is no way I would have left the bar without my ID unless the police were on the scene to file a complete police report.

So, when you called 911 what did the police tell you?

If you didn't call the police, I must conclude that there is a part of this story you're not telling.  You had witnesses (friends) with you and yet you left without your ID?  The bar refused to give it to you or did you FORGET IT and left?
