Scotty's Towing Service - Scotty's Serivce Center - Scotty's Service, INC. Shadiy Towing Georgetown Massachusetts
Day 1
Scotty's Towing was called to tow my car to the Dodge Dealership which they did. After they dropped my care off. I was called by the dealership informing me that the truck driver from Scotty's told them that he hit a pot hole and oil came out of my car. The dealership informed that he had in deed split the oil pan in hair and all the oil had run out.
The dealership could not check my car for service because they did not want to run the car without oil in it. Since it would damage the motor. Mind you, the tow company had not call me about any incident with my car. So I had to tell the dealership to hold from servicing my car and I would call Scotty's Service then call them back.
I called Scotty's, the trucker admitted that yes he had hit a pot hole and he was sorry. i informed him what the dealership said. The driver said it's not a problem they would pay for the damages. He would call his boss and have him to call me back.
His boss, called and asked who they can make it whole. I informed him that they need to pay for the damages that his employee caused. I then was told by this person that they would pay the damages, he wanted an estimated cost. And he also was going to get a fair market value cost. I said fine, I'll call Dodge for the cost and then call you back.
I got the estimate price called them back and spoke driver, gave him the cost and told him to have his boss call me back so that I can tell Dodge something. After 2 hours of waiting for this person to call me back and being late for work, he still hadn't called me. Do, I called them again spoke with the same driver who said he had told his boss the information and for him to call.
I informed him I hadn't receive a call and I had to go to work. i needed him to call me back now. Another hour went by and no return call. So, I called the dealership and informed them to fix the damage and continue with the initial issue. I then go to work.
Day 2
Still no call from this person. I call the dealership they said they hadn't receive a call either. I call the shop again and spoke with the trucker driver again. And again he said he would have his boss to call me.
After waiting another 30 minutes he finally called. I told him that the dealership had done the work to fix the damage that his employee had done. He then said that he needed a quote. And said something about the fair market value. I told him that he was suppose to call me back yesterday and never did. I need my car fix so I had it done. It was not my fault he didn't return calls in a timely manner and that he and his company are going to pay for the damages.
He then said to have dealership to fax him the cost and they would either have someone go to the dealership and pay or call back with their credit card. I call the dealership and instructed to fax the information and then call me back after they hear from Scotty's. Three hours later the dealership calls me and says that they hadn't called them back and that may car was ready to be pickup.
I called Scotty's yet again. Talked with the same driver who said he did not know why the dealership was saying they hadn't call. They were going to take care of the cost and I didn't have to pay it. I told him he was giving me the run around and that the dealership was on their way to pick me up and when I got there I was going to very upset if the cost wasn't paid for. Oh he aspired me that he was calling his boss right now and they were going to have everything taken care. I knew he was lying so I asked for the address and name of the owner. He gives me the address and name.
I go to the dealership and surprise surprise the damages had not been paid for. I have to pay almost $400 to get my car. I was flaming. My whole day wasted again. By the time I got home it was 5pm. I google the address the driver gave me and surprise, surprise, he had lied. I had to do my own research to find the correct address. I am now in the process contacting my attorney.
