Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I've been unemployed for nearly six months, after being able to keep a job for only two months, so I am at this time desperate for a job, and I believe that's how they managed to get me as far as they have.

If you look up "Dan Chasin" or "National Management" it describes my experiences with these con artists to a T- the two hour "second interview" with a large group of people, mostly other young women,  the ridiculously speedy "first interview" where Mr Chasin went as far as filling words in for me. The whole schpiel about getting the keys to your own office, how "basic training" would be learning to sell like your sales people, and he would let us come up with our own reasoning as to why we wouldn't be paid unless we sold these perfume bottles, posing it in the form of a question and then agreeing to whatever the people who spoke up said. He seemed annoyed by my questions, saying that he wanted us to save them until the end of the "interview" and then saying that we could ask those questions in private when he told us whether he wanted to give us the job or not. Of course everyone there got a job, which he explained away by saying that they're trying to expand into Ohio and promising people offices all over the Columbus area.

According to him, we'd be starting Monday morning at 10:30 am, and going until 12:30 for "orientation". Tuesday would follow the same schedule, and then Wednesday our "real" schedule would begin. He tried to rush us through the process and seemed annoyed when I asked if we would be getting paid for Monday and Tuesday. He said we would not, but he was going to come up with ways for us to make money on those two days. I imagine it would mean sending us home with bottles of perfume to push on our friends and family like other people in Arizona and other states have reported.

He kept on pushing that he started 8 years ago after being unemployed for six months and how he knew what we were going through. I think there were so many people who wanted jobs so badly that we all just bought it out of wishful thinking.  There were the promises of "forced vacations" for managers with at all inclusive resorts. When Dan Chasin and this lady Sara started pulling people out of the room, another lady, Rolina, came in right away and started chatting at us about food and regular every day minutiae. We all thought she was doing it to be friendly  but now it's clear that they want to avoid anyone putting two and two together in front of other people or their "trainees" chatting and comparing notes in general.

They told us that we'd have to have background checks done, but that there were no fees. After we were all "invited to come back" we were handed papers to fill out, asking for our personal information-- SSN, driver's license, year, make, model and plate number of our car, etc. I've filled out background check forms for real companies before, mostly temp agencies, and it looked legitimate. Something was watching out for me, because I was waiting for my ride and filled out the paper, meaning to hand it right there, until I realized I need an address for a personal reference and decided to hang on to it and hand it in on Monday instead. Needless to say that is not going to happen now, and I'm grateful I dodged that bullet!

I came home and looked up "Sentre Management" and was unable to find anything in Az, the only thing that came up was the webpage which ONLY mentioned Ohio. This  seemed odd because Mr Chasin mentioned several times that the company was 20 years old and based out of Az. It wasn't until I looked up "Dan Chasin" on a whim that I found the reports on ripoff.com.  It didn't strike me until after I found all the reports that the background check document they wanted me to fill out said "National Background Check" across the top in big letters.

Anyone looking to work for Sentre Management, watch out! I really do hope more people do their research and decide to look up Mr Chasin himself!

The Truth About Sentre

In this rebuttal, I will take each point that the poster originally made against our company and explain what actually happens throughout our interview process. This way, people can make an educated decision about their own careers.

As far as the first interview goes, it is exactly that: a first interview.  No matter what company you are going to interview with, if it has more than one interview in their process, the first one will be quick, mainly a fact finding mission on the part of the employer.  Basically to get a first impression of the person looking for a job.  A lot of weeding out is done here in this interview - if we feel the person has a positive attitude and isn't a complete boor, then we invite them back for a second interview.

The second interview is exactly as she said, in that it is a group setting.  In this meeting, we outline everything about our business and we hold no punches.  We tell everyone up front that during training, the pay is meager.  That the pay is INCENTIVE based - meaning sales and commisions.  We also invite anyone that feels they don't like that idea to feel free to leave at this point.  As far as the "mostly other young women" comment goes, we can't control who answers the ads that we have out there or the people that call in looking for work.  If it happens that everyone that comes in for the second interview is female, or men for that matter, so be it.

Do we really set you up with an office at the end of the training program?  Yes.  I went throught the program myself and now help run the center in Middleburg Heights.  We just promoted out an office into Parma Heights, are finalizing a builing in Pittsburgh for another promotion as well.  We have other offices being opened in Providence, RI, Indianapolis, IN and Virginia Beach.

As for asking questions during the second interview, we already have to go through about four hours worth of information in the span of two.  By asking you to wait til the end to ask, we assume that most of the questions you'll have will be answered throughout the process.  If not, then we are more than happy to answer anything else you have for us on an individual basis so as not to take up everyone else's time as well, considering that they've already been sitting for 2+ hours taking notes.

It is not always the case that everyone in the second interview is offered a position, in fact that is RARELY what happens.  But if everyone there is considered to have a strong positive attitude and thinks that this might be for them, then yes we will give them a chance to navigate the program.  This isn't for everyone, but we don't know who that might be until given the chance.

I am only telling you this next part based on the way I'd feel if asked whether or not you'd be getting paid for the Mon./Tues. orientation and class.  If you had just been told that your pay during the training program was based on commissions (sales), isn't it a reasonable assumption that if you don't sell anything, you don't get paid?  The way that he probably meant about you being able to make money on those days WAS to sell to your friends and family if you wanted.  It would have been completely optional, and you only would have had to do it if you wanted to make some easy money.

When you open up your own branch, you are the boss and are running your own independant LLC, meaning you get to name it. Sentre Management is the name of the branches in Worthington and Middleburg.

If anyone has any questions on the company and the opportunity that we are offering to people that want to run their own business, please call us and ask.  Don't take this person's word for it, because remember the fact that she never even worked for the company.  I've been here six months now and have nothing but good things to say about Sentre and have seen people promoted and running their own deals.  Work hard, stay positive and remember why you're here (to run your own branch), and the training program goes by in the blink of an eye.
