Utah Attorney General Mark Shurtleff and Assistant Attorney General Charlene Barlow representing the State of Utah (Plaintiff) brought formal charges against Dwight Shane Baldwin Defendant. Filed March 18, 2010 in the Third Judicial District Court. A warrant has been issued for Baldwin's arrest and bail has been set at $25,000.
Baldwin was charged in the matter relating to GarageCo. On July 26, 2009, Salt Lake Tribune reporter Paul Beebe detailed the account of the two investors who were defrauded by Baldwin "State to firm: Show you're on the Up and Up".

Shane Baldwin, CEO of SilverLeaf Financial, has settled outside of court with the parties involved in a Utah civil suit, and has come to an agreement with the Utah Attorney General's Office.
