I purchased my S50 from Radio Shack 03/09/2006.I filed for the $50 rebate 03/15/2006.On 05/31/2006 I went to the rebate website WWW.Web-Rebate.com for Sirius Satelite Radio to check my rebate status.My status was on the 3rd of 6 steps which is the Processing step.I waited a few more months and checked it again and the stautus was on the 4th of 6 steps.(Required Service Period Step).It is now 05/12/2007 well over a year and now I check my status and I'am back at the 1st step(Internet Submission).I called Sirius and they said did I receive a post card in the mail?Now after 12 months they need me to have a post card from them to receive my rebate.I have send countless emails from 08/2006 till I findly gave up on that because I got NO help doing it that way.I have on file countless emails from them saying I was at the 4th step and had to wait.How long do I have to wait till I get my rebate?I feel they only want me to forget about it so they can pocket the money.IT'S A SCAM.Because I don't have the post card from Sirius(Which they never sent me)They said I didn't mail the rebate in,(If so how was I at the 4th step and the paper I printed out from their rbate site says "we have recieved your mailed in submission and it is currently being processed-Your rebate has completed the first 3 of 6 steps).They told me they don't care what this says that they need a post card.I asked if I can fax them the printed out copy from their web site and they said NO.It's not about the money its the principle and I'am ready to sling mud at their reputaion.I even told them to cancel my service by email and their responce was you will have to call the 1-800 number to cancel your service.They didn't make an effort to help me or try to stop me from cancelling my service.I would cancel it if I didn't have a $400.00 radio that would be use less to me if I did.I think XM and Sirius merged so what will that do to try XM.I would have to purchase another radio system to do that.We need to speak out and just maybe the next customer won't get burnt.
