Approximately 10/15/12 I was charged the amount of $79 for a service I wanted to cancel out of and demanded a refund for the charged amount taken out of my bank account. The company, XM Sirius radio, stated that it would take 5-7 weeks to receive a refund check to be mailed to me since XM Sirius radio does not do electronic refund transfers.
On Dec 18th I called again XM Sirius radio to state I never received my refund check and was told that due to the error of my change of my address they would have to resend another refund check. Again I was told around 5 weeks. Jan 28th 2013 I called an asked about the status of my refund check. I spoke to a Sales Manager by the name of "Eric" who told me a refund check was never shown to be mailed out to my address. Eric re-submitted for a refund check and stated my check would be mailed out in 3-5 days. I was given an I-Ticket number for the refund, #130128023618.
I even received a voice message two days later about my check being mailed out. I called back on March 16th 2013 to complain I still have not received my refund check. I spoke with a XM Sirius representative whom stated that the refund check was mailed out on Feb. 10th. I informed her of my frustration with XM Radio and asked to speak to a manager. Mr. Sean Sally who is a billing manager picked up the phone and said it was mailed out Feb 5th.
I complained further about the incompetence of the company and just want my refund for money that was taken out of my account for a product I was done with. Mr. Sally said I should get it with in two days. I contacted the BBB and had a report filed on this matter on 04/09/13. Around 04/12/13 I was contacted by Debra in XM customer relations. Debra stated that her and another representative, James, would be handling my refund issue and will be keeping me updated. Debra stated I would have my money well before June. On 04/22/13 I contacted XM Sirius Radio customers relations for a status on the check since I haven't heard from anyone at XM Sirius Customers relations. I spoke to James whom stated the check was mailed on 04/16/13, and should reach me in the next 2-3 weeks.
On 05/09/13 I contacted XM Sirius again and spoke to Debra from Customer relations, about the status of the check. Ms. Debra stated that she has to check on the status and James should not of told me to expect the check in 2-3 weeks. She informed me to wait 48 hours to get an answer of the status of the check and will e-mail me her findings when she gets the information. 05/29/13 I contacted XM Sirius radio to find out the status of the refund check because Debra never sent an e-mail or tried to call me for an update on the refund check.I spoke to James who apologized for the incompetence of their company and would find out the status as quickly as possible.
I filed an additional BBB complaint on Sirius XM radio because I thought this issue was going to be resolved in a couple of weeks. We are now in June! A simple refund has turned into a unnecessary strain. I hope to have this issue resolved. I have been waiting since Oct 2012 to have my refund back and have been very patient with XM Sirius Radio. I have been lied to and at times diverted. XM Radio has made no real attempts at showing they care about the customer. At no point, did I feel they were trying there best to resolve this issue and I have to constantly contact them for updates on this refund that should of been resolved back in 2012.
Currently I am waiting for them to attempt to electronically transfer the refund, which should of been done in the first place. But I was told I would see the funds 06/11/13. Still nothing. To add, I have to wait because the last refund check they supposedly sent to me has to be cancelled and refunded back to them before they could attempt to send me the funds. So ironically, they are waiting for a refund before I can recieve my refund. The 8 month refund process still continues.
