I bought a new car that came with 3 months of sirius for free. After the trial ended I received an over for 6 months for the price of 3. I jumped on the deal and knew I would not be extending the service after the trial ended on 12/23. I called on 12/2 to cancel my service and after about 13 offers for lower prices they finally agreed to cancel my service and said on 12/23 my radio would be disconnected and I would not be billed.
Fast forward to this morning; my debit card was billed 102.36 and I was signed up for another few months. Outraged I called and asked why I still had service and why I was billed and they said they were supposed to schedule my radio to turn off but it didn't happen. Even after telling them to disconnect the radio and refund me at once they still tried to offer me discounts and 3 months free. I declined every offer and finally got the cancellation notice on my radio and an email for the refund. I am confident this is a tactic they did on purpose to try and get customers to stay with them longer by offering more months free as an incentive and then bill you again. This is exactly why they do not have a service cancellation on line and force you to talk to a representative or allow you to buy. So thanks to their illegal practices I now have less money in my account 2 days before Christmas and the warning it could take 10 days to get it back.
Buyer beware, do not order sirius unless you are prepared for their shady practices and inability to do the simplest things, like cancelling service.
