Customer service in almost every buisness has gone down the toilet. I just had a run in with XM radio yesterday. When I purchased my truck it came with an XM radio and 3 months free service when the trial ran out I didnt want to continue the service but they kept calling offering me 3 more months for $20 so I payed for 3 more months of service. After that they wanted almost $20 a month so I wasnt going to renew it. Well since the service I paid for ran out last moth they have called me everyday with a recording telling me to call in to have my service continue. I finally called to tell them I didnt want there service and to stop calling me. These vultures tell me that I owe them almost $40 for service I didn't recieve. Because unless you call and close your account before your service runs out they automaticly renew it, but shut your service off until you pay. I told them leave thier over priced service off and they weren't getting any money from me. I talked to 5-6 different people there and just kept getting the run around until I finally just told them report me to put it on my credit report becaue they were never getting a $1 from me.
Even when I asked to have my account offically closed they tald me this is the wrong departmnet for that you need to call this other number. When I asked them to just transfer me to the right department they gave me an additude. When I fanally did get the right department the "customer service" rep asked why I wanted to cancel, after I explained everything for the 5th time she acted like she couldnt hear me, but I could hear her just fine. After a minute or so of this game she said "we must have aa bad conection, you will have to cal back. After multiple calls I finally got someone to close my account but he tried to end the conversation with a snide "you acount is closed but you still owe this balance and we will continue to pursue collections". I asked to speak to his manager so he put me on hold for an extended period of time then came back and said the manager was busy and hung up on me. I would not use there service again if they were paying me $20 a month.

I'm pretty sure they can't report this to a credit agency. Since this is a pay as you go service and the equiptment belongs to you, they didn't give you any credit in the first place, and thus can't put it against your credit. They just threaten this to get every dime out of you possible. This is why they have few returning customers.
They aren't reporting it to a real collection agency, they have their own "collection department" which means it's just Sirius pestering you for payment.
