We made a deposit on a home for a Christmas vacation to Disney World for a week, for our family and another family. We called a few weeks before arrival and were told by James Hall that that he would call us about a week before our arrival date with directions, codes to the house etc..
Two days before our arrival date and no communication from Solara Vacation Homes so we called and called and emailed to no avail. We did some investigating on our own on the way down to Orlando and found the real property managers and found that the home was not available, and that the owners of the house were actually staying there for that week. So we started searching for a place to stay and were lucky to find a couple of hotel rooms, because many hotels were sold out.
We got an email from James the night before our arrival saying the same thing he told everyone else he has ripped off, that the property was not available and to find another place to stay and that our money had been refunded. It never was refunded and we had to use our credit card company to dispute the charges.
Bad rap for all the rental companies out there because we will never trust another one. Luckily we had figured out we had been had found a couple of hotel rooms the night before and survived.
Stay away from this company and if you have reserved something already and havent left for your destination yet , call your credit card company now and file a dispute because you will have no place to stay, there are many people that they have did this to, just do a search for Solara Vacation Homes reviews and scroll through the comments, or do a BBB Orlando search and see all the complaints that were never responded to.
