I have never experienced anything like this in my life. I moved about 13 pieces of furniture as the men brought an old truck painted white, which was too small for even my small load. Three men came, one knew nothing about moving, a very young boy and the other two knew very little. They dropped my furniture, scraped my furniture, packed the furniture so tightly everything rubbed against everything, drawers fell out, at least (5) pieces were damaged, probably beyond repair. They then wanted to collect the balance due after the damage, and this is serious, and extreme damage.
One of the men was profane, they had to use my dolly to move a piano that I had to help them with as they were not strong enough to move the piano. Their truck had no lift gate, they had to push everything up a ramp like a self move, as I previously mentioned the truck looked like an old moving truck they had painted white with spray paint.
None of the men knew how to pack, and once the load reached it's destination approximately 35 miles from Nashville, my beautiful furniture was destroyed, not scratched, destroyed, with digs almost 1/16" deep and 15" long, caused by old furniture placed on top of expensive furniture and not secured, heavy furniture placed on top of a tread mill, so everything moved all over and was damaged all over. They left my heavy piano on my own dolly in my climate controlled storage room and left, now I can't even get my piano off my dolly. This company appears to have corporate headquarters in Wisconsin, but it all appears to be a front, as no one can be reached at any number given by the company in Wisconsin. Of all the numbers given, all numbers lead to a Mr. Jay Smith, who refuses to offer who his insurance company is and I have emailed dozens of pictures of the extreme damage, and in my opinion damage that could never be repaired, even by the most skilled furniture craftsman. Mr. Smith will not offer anyone's name to call, he says he handles everything and said someone could look at my damage after I paid him the balance I owed him, a bit over $200.00 and he had damaged about $15,000.00 worth or more.
This has been extremely traumatic for me, to literally loose thousands of dollars worth of furniture and have this Mr. Jay Smith refuse to offer anyone to speak to but him, and never acknowledge that there is really no home company other than a small office here in Nashville, at least I cannot find one. These people destroyed my property and I am having to file with State Farm, my insurance company, who has to go through subrogation against Mr. Smith and his Speedymen Moving Company here in Nashville, to recoup what they pay out on my claim. I tried to reach what I thought was their corporate headquarters, and I can find nothing exists.
They show two addresses, 220 Regency Ct, Brookfield, WI 53045, which shows up as Total Realty, # (262) 789-0990. This number is disconnected. Then there is 250 E. Wisconsin Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53202, #(414) 531-6767. When you call this number you get Jay Smith, who obviously is not in Milwaukee Wisconsin. I truly believe there is no corporate headquarters at all, your furniture will NOT be safe with this company I can assure you. I should finally mention that another number given as the corporate Speedyman headquarters is: 1-800-590-9636. I specifically asked the lady that answered, where she was speaking from, (Nashville). Could this be any worse.
Please, please, please do not make the horrible mistake I made in using these people, this mistake will cost me thousands of dollars, and I can assure you, no matter how many pictures I submitted to them, Mr. Jay Smith was unresponsive. I had to resort to filing with my insurance company and let them fight with him, it was my only option, and that is not an option I wanted to take.

Today is December 29th, 2016. I think it would be very fair to say I have done everything in my power to ask and beg Mr. Jay Smith one of the principals or possibly the owner of Speedy Men Movers to pay to have my furniture repaired. According to the Nashville BBB, Mr. Smith is the owner of the company, however he has never told me he is the owner of the company. Additionally, Mr. Smith would never tell me where his offices were, however I think they are in the state of WI. The last thing I hear from this company is let's get this situation off the books and settle this, however what they are offering me for just repair of all the damaged furniture will repair ONE piece, that's it, so obviously that will not work. The furniture is still in storage at almost $150.00 per month, as it's so damaged, there is no need to bring it to my new home. I have never experenced such terrible damage to multiple pieces of furniture ever, with any moving company and have certainly never experienced having my calls blocked where they would not receive them and emails to them blocked as well.
I am forced to take legal action on this company, as I have tried for months and months to get this resolved with just a repair, however I only found two people in the Nashville area that would even consider repairing this level of damage and the rest said, repair is just not possible. Initially, Mr. Smith told me who to contact and I did as he asked, and they quoted site unseen anywhere from $3,500.00 to $5,000.00 with NO guarantee it would not cost more, and that did not include the pick up and delivery of each piece.
After going on for months and months, and paying expensive storage invoices on damaged furniture, I am forced to court in early 2017 to try my best to recoup replacement value of the furniture, as I could only find two people in the entire Nashville area that would even consider repairs, and because it's been months and months, I have no idea if they would still consider working on the furniture or if they are even still around. So this has been a terrible experience with Speedy Men Moving Company, and as of this date, 12/29/2016, it is anything but over, now I can only hope to have some releave with the court system in early 2017. I could never be more dissapointed in how this situation has turned out.

It's now the 22nd of September and I have had to do all the calling and begging for help from Speedy Men Moving Company. With all of the telephone numbers listed in all the various states, only ONE person answers the phone, Jay Smith. Mr. Smith will NOT give his location and his company can block your number, where you cannot talk to them, he has done it to not one but two of my numbers. You have to dial *67 before your number to get through his telephone blocking.
I found a good woodworker to repair my (8) damaged pieces of furniture, around $2,800.00, this was the level of damage done. Speedy Men (Jay) thought that was too much money, so he found who he wanted to use, and I forwarded the pics to his man and he said it would cost anywhere from $3,500.00 to $5,000.00 to repair my furniture, so Speedy Men (Jay) just started backing off completely and said they would pay for the damaged furniture by the pound, and he said all of my (8) pieces would be worth a bit over $1,000.00. You absolutely have no idea who you are dealing with when you let Speedy Men come and pick up your furniture. In my case they showed up in a very old used painted van that was far too small to move much of anything. I have written to the BBB, this forum, movers sites, and this company is very good at overlooking complaints, and if you sign their forms, they protect themselves against any damages that they do, and I did not sign their forms, so I at least have a chance in court. Jay Smith laughed under his breath at me when I mentioned small claims court, he is very used to that and said he can tie this up indefinately, and I was welcomed to waste my time, I could tell he was very sure his bases were covered. If you look at Speedy Mens record, this company has people complaining everywhere. The men that moved me were anything but professionals, non of the three even knew how to use the locking down straps that they brought, I had to show them.
I absolutely cannot warn you enough, if this company damages your furniture, you are just out the cost of the furniture, as they will not help you, and in my case, the one person they suggested came back with a higher cost that the man I found to do the work, so they would not use the man they selected, so as of today, I have no resolution, and damaged furniture sitting in storage. Let me offer some more pictures so you can get a good feel of the damage this company can do to your furniture and did do to my furniture. I believe these people hire people, temp labor to do these moves, as they are so covered on liability, they don't worry about damage, and when I say covered, I mean, they just do not respond or pay for anything, and if you have signed their paperwork, which I DID NOT, you are dead in the water.
