Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I have just filed a report with the BBB. I sat through a 5 hour ordeal with Spirit Incentives. I was told it would be an one hour presentation and after wards I would get my voucher for my free 3 night cruise to the Bahamas. They hassled us and were pretty aggressive about wanting us to buy a timeshare. We told them that we were in the military, students and only one of us had a job and it just wasn't in our near future. They didn't like that answer. The guy actually slammed his hands down on the table and walked away. Then we were put in a waiting room for 2 hours while we waited for this voucher. I think they expected us to get fed up and leave. We didn't. We got our voucher. I registered it online, paid the $100 deposit and when they cashed it they sent me an email telling me to choose 3 sailing dates. I did, and I received an email this morning stating that I could call and finalize my reservations. My free cruise has now cost me $575, including deposit. Royal Caribbean reps told me taxes on this particular cruise were only $48, Spirit charged us $157/person. Taxes on the airfare was $55/person. That wasn't so bad. While booking, Deanna Sloan told me that unless I upgraded rooms, the only thing they could offer me was a category Q room, which was twin bunk beds. I told her I had sailed with RC before and I've never known there to be rooms with bunk beds. I paid the $150 upgrade after she assured me. Before her and I were even off of the phone I received my receipt in my email. She hurry up and ran that through. I immediately called RC and asked about the rooms. To no surprise, I was told that no rooms had bunk beds only. I called back Spirit Incentives where I was told that I had misunderstood and she told me that the upgrade was for a higher deck (deck 4 versus deck 2). I would have NEVER paid $150 to move up 2 decks. So I told her I wanted a refund and I wanted to be moved to the lower deck room with the two twin beds that pushed together to make a queen. She said there were no more rooms available. I found that hard to believe and told her I would call RC AGAIN to confirm this. I did and was told by RC that there were plenty of rooms left, including the original one I was offered. I called back and spoke to a supervisor who told me the same thing. I said it was the SAME room and she said well since I turned it down and upgraded it was released to the public. She refused to help me at all. The only word they know at Spirit are NO. They have no toll-free number and I was on hold for about 30 minutes while Deanna booked my flights. They have no corporate number or address and apparently the ONLY person, the highest person is Grace (the supervisor I spoke to). I would not recommend you do business with them. Read all of the other complaints before you send them any money or give them your CC#!!
