Watch out!!!!! Star Capital Securities Inc. is a fraudulent company. This is the second time that I have been contacted from an out-of-country promotion agency claiming that they have had "many unsuccessful attempts to contact you regarding your winnings." I, too, received check #62707 for the amount of $4875.00 which needed to be deposited into my checking account and once cleared forward via MONEYGRAM or WESTERN UNION the tax amount indicated on the notification letter of $2975.00. I wonder who's rent I would be paying if I actually did this? lol Oh, and then received the remainder of the winnings for the grand prize of $120,125.00 via FedEx. Yeah okay....
I'm just happy that our banks have security measures in place to outwit these fools. It was my bank who saved me the first time. But, I have to admit the security features instructed on the back bottom of the check do check out very well....heed this caution there just very good at printing!
Also, be weary of whether you call via house or cell phone for some reason Mrs. Carol Armstrong does not answer from the cell or the line is always busy; but when called from house phone she answered quickly just to put me on hold followed by many beeps heard over the line. Well, being the suspicious person that I am, I hung up quickly. Not sure if these folks are savvy enough to tap into phone lines to get any personal information or not; so just be weary before staying on the line while on hold!
