Well 1st of all I would like to say that I have been employed by Steven's Transport for 15 months. I have received the same pay just like everyone else the only difference in my situation is I know how to save money and didn't go to their schooling a broke a*s like 95% of the folk do. As far as pay goes its like that in just about every company that employs rookie drivers. Honestly did you think you were gonna make a 1000 dollars a week right out the door? Furthermore I am an Alliance driver and I don't steal loads I rescue loads that are in trouble cause drivers run out of hrs. I also get bailed out of loads when I run out of hrs. Trucking is a service industry that thrives on ON TIME DELIVERY!! If you can't make the load on time they will repower it from you. End of story cut and dry. All you folks who sit around whining, grow up its such a childish act. You read all the paperwork and if you don't know how to read well you deserve to be screwed as you say. The fact of the matter is ( All folks are not cut out to be a trucker).

Sounds typical of Stevens. Stay Away all who think about employment there! I work thru the end of my contract period and left. It nearly bankrupted my family. After leaving I made almost .10 per mile more and brought in an average of $950.00 as a company driver elsewhere......home every weekend. I am done driving for family reasons but still want to save others from the fate that almost wiped me out......PS they called me 2 days after I left and offerd me my job back so clearly I am not a problem case!

I just want to say thank you, you may have kept me from going somewhere that would have definately been a burden for myself and family! Sorry you had to endure the crap.

Martin, They forced you out of the truck. That is on them. They cannot legally charge you anything for this, nor can they legally report it to DAC/USIS. You need to contact DAC/USIS and get a copy of your report. You are entitled to dispute the information Stevens placed on your report and also can add a 100 word statement. Now file a wage claim with the labor board for the money they wrongfully withheld. The tow charges, etc are on them since they opted to tow the truck. You offered to drive it. They cannot charge you for the choices they make. Now go to the FMCSA website and file a complaint against them for Stevens putting you out like that. They frown on this as it is a driver safety issue. Go to the many driver bulletin boards etc that they use to recruit new drivers and warn everyone of this problem. Do as much damage to their recruiting efforts as you can. Good luck!

MOST OF THESE LARGER TRUCKING CARRIERS ARE NOTHING MORE THAN RIP-OFF ARTISTS, AND I'D HIGHLY ADVISE EVERYBODY, TO STAY AWAY FROM THEM, ALL OF THEM, ALL THE ONES YOUR READING ABOUT ON THIS SITE !!! I'M SERIOUS STAY AWAY FROM THEM TOTALLY. EVENTUALLY THEY WILL LOSE BUSINESS AND GO OUT OF BUSINESS BECAUSE THEY HAVE NOBODY TO DRIVE THEIR EQUIPMENT, AND THAT TRANSLATES TO LOSS IN REVENUE AND CAPITOL, EVENTUALLY THEY'LL HAVE TO CLOSE UP SHOP,, ITS JUST A MATTER OF TIME FOR MANY OF THESE FRAUDULENT CARRIERS !!!!!!!! STAY AWAY FROM ALL THESE CARRIERS YOUR READING ABOUT ON THIS SITE, DON'T EVEN ATTEMPT TO THINK ABOUT WANTING A JOB WITH THEM OR YOU'LL BE SUBJECTED TO THE SAME THINGS. DON'T PLAY YOURSELF FOR A FOOL AND WORK FOR THEM !!!!!! STAY AWAY FROM TRUCKING IN GENERAL, YOUR BETTER OFF, BELIEVE ME !!!!!
