StopZilla StopZilla Computer Virus Remover StopZilla Stopped my computer Boynton Beach, Florida
I was thinking of buying StopZilla computer Virus remover, downloaded it for a "Free virus Check" and in downloading it, my computer slowed way down to a crawl. I did get thru to tell them that my system was not working and they did get on my computer for a couple of minutes fixed the problem, as I told them I was going to buy there system, but I couldn't cause my system is down. So they did fix that. And I went a few days later, thought I had gotten such great service, and was having issues, So I paid the 39$ for there system only to learn later on, My computer caught a virus and there system did not catch.
I called for a refund, and they declined, Offered to fix my computer for 200$
Got a computer guy over to the house, He told me that StopZilla Was the Virus, If you note there is no amount of space it takes up when you go to Add or Remove program.
So he took it off, found the other viruses and took those off also. I run Free Avast Virus and it seems to catch everything.

AV vs Spyware Prevention

It is my understanding that StopZilla is simply just a spyware protection software. It does not block many full on viruses and should not be used alone as a security prevention on your computer.
Your resolution by picking Avast is a great choice. While many companies that make AVs out there gouge their customers Avast offers a great product for free. I'm glad you are enjoying. Also if you want to add an anti-spyware program go download SpyBot Search & Destroy. It's a great free one.
