In March of 2009. I received a letter dated(March 13,209),from the Georgia Department of Driver Services. The Letter states"The Georgia Department of Driver Services has received notification from the Tennessee Department of Safety advising that you may not have been properly tested for issuance of a commercial driver's license(CDL)in that jurisdiction." It also states that"Retesting for your CDL will involve a three(3)step process.First, you should visit the nearest DDS Customer Service Center and surrender your CDL." Out raged I then call the Tennessee Department of Safety and requested information in writing. The letter I received on March 10,2009 states"In December 2008,the Tennessee Department of Safety sent notices to each State's Commercial Driver License Coordinator informing them that our department has information indicating that a third party testing company did not administer the skills test in accordance with the Rules of the Tennessee Department of Safety's Driver Services Division,Chapter 1340-1-13-22,paragraph5(b)10,or Federal Regulation383,75(a)(2)(iii)(1993).
My whole world went crushing down.
I then contacted Swift in Az.Voiced my concern and what the hell do i do now. They in turn directed me to Swift Driving Academy in Millington,Tn. Who in turn promised to get me reentered into one of their other schools. (The hope of returning to regain my CDL's has been going on up until now Nov.4,2009). No cost to me I thought. Wrong they are still requesting the amount of tuition that is charged. In my case my tuition was paid off through tuition renbust.program from another company. I am a single mom I have an eleven year old who depends on me. I have no money now. And I received the letter just after I had completed physical therepy. While I was looking forward to returning on the road BAM...I got hit with this. I have lost my home.My car all my money is spent. Me and my family have lived in a shelter. I've been sick with the flu twice.Am now living in a extended stay motel. That I really can't afford. I have contacted so many schools. Even tried to retest on my own. I was once even given an EMT test by misstake it was counted as a failure. In total I have paid over 75.00 to give up my CDL's retest and fail.I am so upset. It seems to me that Swift Driving Academy should have in place some type of program to correct the damages they have caused. My whole world has been turned upside down. All the schools I have contacted will not accept me due to experience or they want a down payment that I can afford. Help anyone. This is terrible.
Sincerly
