Eric Peterson, doing business as Altamont Homes, Systems Built Homes, Modern Custom Homes, is ripping customers off. We know of 12 people that contracted with him to build their home and he has taken their deposit and then done no further work. It appears he is working in connection with John Norton of CTX Mortgage to get potetial home owners to finance with CTX who then allows Peterson to take your loan funds and produce nothing in return.

We'd like to collect information from any and all who have been ripped off by Eric Peterson and related parties to present to the DA. Fraud charges can persist through his bankruptcy filing, and this obviously looks like fraud considering the patterns and count of events mentioned in these postings. These postings state 6-12 other victims, what is the best way to collect the stories and info from each?

After all that has been posted here and elsewhere, Genesis Homes, of Arizona, one of the largest manufacturers of modular homes, is continuing to do business with Eric Peterson's company, Systems Built Construction, Inc. When contacted, Genesis' reply was, "we are keeping an eye on the situation". We now know that Peterson has somehow managed to sign up two more suckers, telling them they will be getting Genesis model Jefferson modular homes. Of course we all know they will never see their homes...only their funds disappear into Peterson's bank account (his new bank account...even he can't be stupid enough to keep the old account after declaring bankruptcy). If Peterson is so broke that he and his old company, Altamont, have gone bankrupt, sinking at least 14 customer's dreams of home ownership, can he possibly think he can build new homes just by changing names? Doesn't he realize yet that FRAUDULENT contractors not only lose their licenses, but they go to jail?? ...it is just a matter of time before Eric Peterson and his #1 side kick Victor Angulo go spend a little time in the "big house".
