Taylor Truck assured me that upon completion of the 3 day orientation held in Minneapolis during the worst weather in memory that upon completion of the orientation that I would receive $500 orientation pay. They said that the only stipulation was that I had to complete all three days of the orientation, which I did. On the last day I was assigned a truck and had the keys to it in my hand and was on my way to picking up the truck and hitting the road when the secretary walked in and informed me that because of the fact that the CDL license that was in my possession was not acceptable to them. This despite the fact that they had a DAC and an MVR which clearly stated that my CDL was active and valid. Because of this they told me I had to go home and send away for another copy of my license, when I asked them to pay me for the three day orientation they refused and then put me on a Greyhound bus which took 24 hours of straight grueling travel. A man's time and effort is worth something, I did complete all the three days and was actually informed that I was hired. I refuse to go back now that I have my CDL straightened out to work for a company that shows itself to be so heartless.
