I recently purchased almost $10,000 worth of furniture from The Brick. My boyfriend and I JUST moved in together to start our life together. We purchased everything on May 21st 2010 and it has been exactly 2 months and we got some furniture (our couches, coffee table and tv stand) but our bed and dining table are still M.I.A. We have had nowhere to eat for over a month. We have tried to call and resolve this issue. Their one and only solution: Take the floor model. It is covered in dings and scratches, there would be NO price adjustment and NO delivery (even thought we already paid for that too). We had to fight tooth and nail to get our mattress delivered on time so we had somewhere to sleep. They gave us a $20 bed frame to apologize for the wait. It would have been a nice gesture, but our bed barely fits on this frame, and if we have too much weight on one side it will flip off. Our end table was apparently out of stock, so we had to choose new ones, but they were still on the floor and allowing people to purchase these models that no longer existed. How can one company allow such dishonesty to continue like this?
We are young and feel taken advantage of. This is supposed to be an exciting time and all it has been is head ache after head ache. The managers in store make you feel stupid for offering suggestions. I have never been so upset and frustrated about this.
