The Furniture Taxi sells insurance to handle any damage they do to your furniture when the move occurs. In my case, I had a $500 deductible to cover my losses. At the end of the move, they broke an expensive piece of Wedgewood stemware, broke two wooden mirrors and dented my new Side By Side stainless steel fridge.
We initially filed a damage report within 2 weeks. Their first reply is an attempt to discount everything you say and deny responsibility. Three replies later they offer $200 to settle. Three more replies later they offer $500 to settle. My total damages totalled $1350, I expected to reimbursed less the $500 deductible.
I complained to the BBB and after several letters they just closed our case listing me as an unhappy customer. The public needs to be warned about this company, they do not do business with integrity.
