Midwest Center For Stress And Anxiety. Deceptive Offer and Return Policy Scams Customers Oak Harbor Ohio
Noteworthy that other people encountered the exact same situation I encountered. I tried out the program, which is advertised on the radio in a very professional, polished and sensitive fashion.
I called to order the program on trial, and was very surprised by the sound of the woman who answered. She sounded like a very friendly senior citizen (You would never be scammed by a senior, right?).
I listened to the tapes during the trial period and determined that they would not benefit me. I called back within the trial period and another woman asked me which tapes I had listened to, suggesting I was not doing the program right.
She offered to reduce the price and extend my trial period. I followed her instruction thinking I had a longer trial period and reduced price.
When I called back to cancel again, the woman told me I was past the trial period. So now not only am I supposed to pay for an expensive product that doesn't work, but I don't get the discount the lady promised.
I called customer service several times and forget about anything approaching support or sympathy from them. They are trained to tell you that you're past the trial time....period, end. I asked to talk to a manager or the CEO, and they refused.
After several disputed charges to my credit card, the company mails me regularly with bills.
Definitely a scam. But the company knows the odds are against the consumers in fighting off the charges, so the company calls out the collection hounds.
Without question, the company preys on vulnerable people.
