Tim Chaney and Dan Hall try to evict because house payment went, evict for unpaid rent 2 twice.
On or around the end of Feb 2018, Mr. Chaney sent me a letter ending our lease due to the fact that his house payment went up and our rent didn't cover it. Which he can not do. We declined.
Then he sent a letter stating we were behind in our rent, outlining how much. We went ahead and paid it to prevent eviction, as he gave us the choice.
Then we received another eviction letter stating more money due, late fees, which he had never charged us any before. Making the amount over 3000.00 dollars. He was trying to use from past lease including that in this amount. Which he cannot do.
He filed eviction with this information. We got a lawyer, asked for for a jury trial. Also called the electric company Oncore because our electric box was falling off the wall on the outside of the house, as well as the electrical wire in the attic where there is a hole and rain was falling on it everytime it rained, this could have cause a fire. As well as the mold, black, that he would not take care of. I am a cancer survior and my father has heart problems from a heart atack he had two years ago.
There are many things that need to be fixed and he said he would have someone come and fix them but never did.
My adivse to anyone who finds a property he is leasing, or Dan, or his mother and sister, as they are all under the LLC of his company and also owned some of the property. If you come across this person DO NOT LEASE FROM HIM. We have been tenants of his for 15 years and this is how he treats you. If you read other stories about him he has taken a deposit from one couple, rented to another and told them to just forget the deposit because he wasn't giving it back, and well as many other stories.
AGAIN DO NOT LEASE FROM THIS MAN, HE IS SNEAKY, UNTRUSFTWORTHY, A LIAR AND A CHEAT. I intend on going further with this and file with the people.
