I purchased a top of the line "Tiny" computer back in October of 2000 with a 3-year in home service warranty. In a little less than a year later, the computer quit working. Upon calling the repair number, I got a message that due to circumstances beyond their control, they could not take my call and to call back later. This went on for over three months, making over 100 calls and getting no response. Finally, after 3 1/2 months with no computer, my cousin took a look at it and discovered not only a faulty hard drive, but a USED one at that! After 4 months of not working, the computer is up & works better, but I still feel ripped off by what I paid for it. The 3-year warranty cost me an extra $200, which is now void because of my cousin repairing it and the "USED" hard drive. This was not an $2000 computer!

Tiny Computers has either gone bankrupted or out of business sticking me with paying off my bill with Citi Financial. I disputed paying the rest of it ($1100) because of the circumstances, but don't want to mess up my credit. How does one get a hold of a bankrupted company? Citi Financial, the financing company, looked into the matter and couldn't find anything. They asked me to send in an invoice again stating what I paid for the warranty and computer.

If a company is going under or bankrupted, it should try to notify their customers of where to take their products for repair.

I was given a computer by my parents. They purchased a Top of the line computer from Tiny. And purchased a 3 year warranty. It's been one year, and now the computer has died, along with the company. I had called the attorny generals office, and the better business bureau and both claimed they could not help in this case since the company is no longer in the states. Now I'm stuck with the reapir and the replacment of the hard drive on the computer. I believe I was taken for a ride by tiny computers, and I know there is a lot of people that came along with me.
