I contacted Two Men and a Truck to move me from a first floor, 500 sq. ft apartment to my one story ranch house. After taking detailed information on what was to be moved, how far, how many steps, stories, etc. I was quoted a price of $600.00 for my total move. I specifically asked if there were any other fees and was told no. When the movers finally arrived on moving day, 3 hours late, they moved part of my stuff and then told me that they had to call another truck and man to finish. This was going to increase my price to $1,000.00. They had half my belongings on a truck, so I felt forced to agree in order to finish my move. I had to be out of my apartment that day. I asked them why they didn't bring a larger truck. I had told the women at their office precisely what was to be moved. Another truck and man showed up. They moved slowly and complained the whole time. This was moving out of a small, first floor apartment. Finally we arrive at my new home and they told me it was too dark and "unsafe" to unload my belongings. I was moving into a one story house with three step up to the front porch. I told them if they hadn't been 3 hours late it wouldn't be dark. They refused to unload and drove off with all my belongings. I didn't even have a bed to sleep in that night. The next day the "manager" came and told me that in order for them to unload my belongings I would have to pay another $400.00!! So instead of the quote they gave me for $600.00, it now would cost me $1400.00! They practice "bait and switch" tactics and mislead customers. Their "manager" was insulting, rude, argumentative and unfair. I did not pay the extra 400.00 and my boyfriend had to unload my furniture out of their truck. Please never use this company. You will regret it. Moving is a very stressful event and they prey on the fact that they have your belongings and you are at a disadvantage.
