United Collections Bureau - UCB Ripoff Violated at least 3 rules regarding debt collection in an attempt to harass me. Toledo Ohio
Miss Bailey, 800-394-7590 ext. 6909, called my parents and my sister/brother-in-law in an obvious attempt to harass me. This action was NOT necessary since Miss Bailey/UCB already had my pertinent information.
In addition to this action being excessive, I also consider it to be oppressive since Miss Bailey has threatened to keep calling my parents until the debt is paid. The insolent tone of Miss Bailey and her manager, Miss Buckworth, and their unwillingness to listen to my legitimate argument regarding this unwarranted action further exacerbate this situation.
The misleading statements made by Miss Bailey to me and my family are also of great concern to me. She informed both my parents and my sister that she was calling in regards to a civil lawsuit? She told my folks that she could help me (with a debt)? She has implied that I need an attorney?
PS. There is no lawsuit!

Hi there, I read your complaint and I also have my own complaint about UCB which I just typed on here. They call me 5x a day and leave messages of a "lawsuit" when there is no lawsuit against me lol. they definitely are engaged in illegal business practices... i scared them to thinking i was recording their phone calls so they stopped calling or leaving messages for the day, but resorted to my cell phone now ! I am in the process of writing a "cease communication" letter to them and I might call Citibank (they are the ones I owe money to....) and complain about UCB. Let me know what your planning on doing to make them leave you alone.. Im very interested on this matter. thanks!
