United Mustangs Cheer Program Scam of all scams... The duo of Stephany, the so called "director", and coach Melanie with her Mike Leach impressions towards little girls is your warning. Rowlett Texas

First they will take your "all inclusive" $600 up front and make you sign a letter stating that your money is non refundable. The presentation with have lofty false promises of competitions, a sleep over camp, and even time at cowboy stadium. Stephanie will display display professionalism, but do not be fooled. There is anything but in this program. First of all there is no practice until the late part of the summer even though the money is due before May, this should have been my first clue. Second when the season starts there is no schedule of events, she will just let you know game days and time, usually about the day before. The "provided" uniform is a generic uniform which will be ordered to big, the week of a game, and you will be told to take it to an alteration boutique(more money). There are other items that are "required or your daughter is off the team" that are not included within the price. The reason I put that in quotes is because this is coach Mealanies favorite expression. To the kids and to the parents. The verbal abuse which is on par with a professional sport coach is absurd for a rec league cheer squad. I whitnessed virtually every girl on the squad in tears on a regular basis. Which brings me to the fact the coach melanie will endanger your daughter. The practice field is a field that is at the community park on 66, there is nothing wrong with that until the time change. This is a nonlit field with many dangers to practicing on a pitch black field. At this point a squad that started out with 20 is now down to 6 from either being removed from the team or parents no longer willing to put up the the lack of professionalism. Which no longer qualified us for competitions, season over, no fan fare... no party... no nothing... The one competitiion we went to was near the VA hopital in South Dallas, of which I just heard someone was just murdered in the neighborhood again, in which you will be competing against Cedar Hill, Duncanville, and Desoto, and you will whitness what your young girl should not be doing in a cheer uniform.
I really could go on about how your money will be taken for services not rendered, and both Stephanie and Melanie are at the center of this scam. They are taking Rowlett and Garland families for about $800 per year for very poor to no service in return. Run away, and use the real rowlett cheer program, or Garland for that matter...

I worked was a drill coach a few years back for RYSF Mustangs and you my friend are incorrect! Steffany is an honest person, cheer and dance uniforms are very expressive. Plus you have practice/camp clothes, bags, poms, shoes etc. Then there's the insurance, cost to rent a place for camp, cost of the game Fields. Check with other organizations, there prices are just the same. Coach Melanie loves her girls and expects them to work hard, she is not hard on them. This is one of the best organizations around, they are honest, intelligent and take great pride in what they do. If want cheap uniforms, unprofessionalism, an organization that rips u off and treats the kids awful, go to (((REDACTED)))
