Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
Yesterday, after recieving a few calls marked "unknown" on my cell phone and ignoring them, I answered a very unsettling call from one of my employees. She told me that she had just recieved a call stating that if I did not call back to 415-704-0409, I would be facing legal ramifications for debts that I owed. I did some research on-line last night and found that phone number had been reported for fraud on numerous web-sites.

Early this morning, I recieved a call and they left a message stating that they are trying to help me and I need to call them back before more serious actions were taken. I have been watching my credit closely and knew for a fact that I did not owe anything to anybody.

I called the number back and after ringing 8 times, a gentlemen with a very thick accent answered "what do you need?" I explained to him that I have been reading reports of fraud from his company and the phone number I had been calling. I also expressed my frustration with them telling one of my employees that I was in some sort of legal trouble. I asked him to tell me where he had gotten my information and who is claiming I owe them money. The gentleman responded by telling me that he was going to help me, but he doesn't want to anymore and that he didn't have to tell me anything. I continued to question who he was calling on behalf of and he finally said "Midland Marketing." He said it was for a payday loan that I had gotten last year and never paid back. He then proceeded to rattle off my name, SSN, date of birth, address, my bank account number and the phone numbers to 2 of my friends.

Last year, I had indeed gotten a payday loan, so I began to wonder if maybe there had been a mix up with a computer. After I hung up, I pulled my bank statements from last year. I had gotten a payday loan from PaydayOne. My statements clearly showed both the credit and debit from when I recieved it and when I paid it off. I called Paydayone to see if they had inadvertently loosed these hounds on me. They stated that I had been in good standings and never had any problems.

I did further research and discovered more fraud reports on Midland Management.

Do not give these people your money. They are fraudsters and have obtained this information illegally. Just because they know details about you does not mean you owe them anything. I am frightened that my information is in their hands.

UNITED PROCEESING INC AND UNITED LEGAL ARE TWO COMPLETLY DIFFERENT COMPANIES!!!!! ONE IS IN JACKSONVILE FLORIDA. THE OTHER IS IN MIAMI FLORIDA. WE DO NOT WISH TO BE AFFILIATED WITH COMPANY IN MIAMI, WHICH IS WHY THE NAME WAS CHANGED!

They are not legitimate collections - They use threats to scare you into paying debts that do not exist NEXT TIME THEY CALL - TELL THEM YOU KNOW IT IS SCAM AND HANG UP
