US-Telecom, Inc. Received bill from UST for services not requested - fraudulent practices? Internet
Our company received a bill from UST (US-Telecom) for a "warranty covers perventative maintenance on all telecom system equipment, including, telephone instruments, switches, routers, & cabling". It was $425.00.
Our "warranty" is covered by our provider. Who do the owners of this company think they are kidding? This is, as far as I'm concerned, a fraudulent practice and meant only to hurt those that don't think about actually checking into it. I tried to call the 800 number on the invoice to make sure they know we are not paying and not to send us another bill and I sat on hold for over 10 minutes (speaker). I finally hung up and checked online. Imagine when I learned about the 20 complaints filed through this site about this company.
The attorney generals of the states involved should get together and prosecute this company.
