Ok, So I was getting a refund of some insurance I purchased from an agency in Dallas Tx. I waited a day for it to be processed into my Credit Union Bank, and nothing. I called the insurance company back and told them that their refund had not processed. As we went over the info, I noticed the card info was off. So I looked through my records, and noticed that it was to my old Walmart Money Card that expired in November 2012. I asked the agent why whe sent it there and she advised me that; that was the card that I used to place the quote on hold. So she asked me if I wanted to stop payment, but it would take three days to reverse and deposit into my REAL bank. I figured, it's walmart, they are a multi-billion dollar corp they would be able to figure this out without any delay. WRONG!! I called them, took 1hr and 15 min before they answered my call and they advised me that they see the pending deposit by my insurance company, but they locked the account. I asked them why and they told me, that they don't recognize the company so they weren't gonna accept it but that they wouldn't release it until they got verification for the company. So I called the company on three way and let them hash it out. They wouldn't transfer to a supervisor/manager above their level. Keep in mind that the manager I was speaking to had a thick accent and tried to use big words, but didn't make any sense. So I begged for her boss so that I can't get this figured out. They told me that they send an email to their coorperate office and they will respond to their request in 1-2 business days. I'm not accepting that. So I keep arguing that I wanna speak to her boss and she gives me the same cookie-cut answer. Finally they tell me their "process", that they will submit a request to their finance office, and that i will have my answer in 3-5 business days. This is not what I wanna hear, so I tell them that their is NO need for red tape just give me my money. No Dice, I get the same cookie-cut answer and I'm now helpless because my texas insurance company is closed. I call walmart back the next day (took 57minutes), and I could swear I got the same rep, she says a different name, but they sound the same. I ask if she has heard anything from the finance company, and she tells me, 3-5 business days. I said no, I want to talk to them now. I can't wait for some guy in a dark room, to ignore my request for 3-5 days. Now, I'm aware that other people have complaints, but I wanna talk to someone who can give me an idea of where I stand in the process. But all she does is give me the same cookie-cut answer and tells me 3-5 days. Now I'm livid at this point. I hang up and call back, hoping to get a different rep... after a 1hr 2 min hold, same rep. So I waste my time once again. So times wasting, and I call back a 3rd day, took 35 minutes. A different rep answers and tells me that they may release my money, but they are waiting on the finance department. She also stated that they could only release $1000.00 to me and that I would not be released the rest. I asked her why, and she said that it's too large of an amount. Hmmm, I explained to her that it was all my money and that amount of money isn't going to affect a multi-billion dollar business. But, whatever, I'll take what I could get for now. She releases the money and I realized that my card that they released it to was expired. So I asked if I could run to walmart, buy a temp card and transfer, and she said, sure. So I did just that, and hung up and called right back as I was driving to walmart. I figured since I have been waiting an hour every time, I would call right away so that by the time I get to walmart and buy the card, they would answer, and I was right. Now I activate the card at the register, have my fiancee register it over the phone while we wait. Finally they answer and gave them my new card info. The rep tells me that it takes 3-5 days for the transfer to go through. Oh, I'm pissed at this point. I'm at the point of no return for cancelling the transaction through Walmart and going through my bank. I'm screwed. I argue with them for about 30 minutes and the lady releases it. Keep in mind that I'm still waiting for the 1-2 business day phone call from corporate. So I go to the register and pay for a couple of items just to be sure it's working... Bingo! We are in business. So I travel and along the way make purchases. No problems. On the last night, I cancelled my room reservations as I expected my dad be in town but he flew out to an emergency, his best friend was on his death bead. I attempt to purchase show tickets to "cirque de solie" for our anniversary and the card declines. At that point I'm worried. We are 600 miles from home and now the card declines. So I immediately call the bank and they comfirm $600+ in the card. But I'm worried and I have no place to stay, all the rooms are booked or way too expensive for the night. So we decide to try Boulder City. We get to Boulder Inn and suites and they see us coming... I'm not kidding. It's 1:30 in the morning and we get charged $144.48 for a foom for the night. I asked if the offered AAA or Military discounts and she immediately states it is her lowest rates. Even though their is a sign outside that says AAA discounts offered. Now this room was worth $29.95 tops, but i was the only choice we had, or we coulda used the car. So the receptionist swipes my card and we wait 10 minutes for approval.. She says, it's not going through, could be our internet, so ill give you the key to the room and call you if their are any problems. So we go up, and ten minutes late she calls and she says it declined. I went down and she swiped again, "declined". So I go to my CU card and pull out $160 of my emergency funds to pay. I figure It works when I purchase gas, it may just do the same on the return trip. Well my fiancee calls the Walmart card and she turns around abruptly, and puts the phone on speaker. Transaction of $144.48, transaction of $144.48, transaction of $144.48... Yes that's 3 transactions to my account. The receptionists freak out and try to explain that they never were approved from the company. So I call for the manager and they state that he will be in at 8am. I wake up, go down stairs for their fabulous $600 breakfast (danish/water) and ask for the manager. She says the manager won't be in until Monday. Well, I have $67 to my name, and now I'm screwed. I call walmart and suprisingly they are open. They advise me that they need the company to fax them a letter stating that they are not pulling any of these funds. So I beg the receptionist to do it, and she says that it has to be a manager and he's not around till monday. So as I'm flipping out she disappears to the back and my assumption is that shes calling the cops. But magically a manager appeared. ta-dah!! He pulls out a sheet showing the charges for the night and all I see is $99 charges, mine are the only charges of $144.48... Now I'm not dumb, I'm X-Special forces. I have serious awareness. So as hes scramblimg through the paperwork I ask him why everyone was charged $99 and I was charged $144? He tries to fumble for an answer and says that they are for other things... Now what could you possibly buy at a hotel for $99? I know vending machine prices went up, but not $98 up... So I told him, I'll accept your answer and what you charged me once but not a total of 4 times. He said he'll help me out, so he ran my CU card and it went through and I got my cash back so I could fill up with gas with cash. Now I get back home and call walmart and they tell me that it will take 3 business days to release the funds. I'm still not happy with that answer and I ask for a supervisor. Nothing, I get that 1-2 business day answer. Well today is 3 business days and nothing... No money, no call, no service. It's MY MONEY!! I don't think they would like it if I stole $450 from their wallets. It's not right, something has to be done!!
