Wow..a credit card company that actually wants to "verify" that you are the card holder. The purchase may have been outside of the normal pattern for you and triggered this security flag. You may have found this anoying, but what if someone had gotten hold of your credit card. I seriously doubt that you have minded this at all, in fact I bet you would have been very happy that they were able to stop a fradulent charge. You may have felt that the questions were obscure. But they are obscure for a reason. They gave you questions that only you would know, if it was a thief they would not have been able to answer them. As to your 40 minute wait, I can't say that that is right if in fact you did wait that long. However, the couple of times I needed to call them I was on hold for no more than a few minutes.
